Really good compilation of 80's music (although I think some of the content is stretching the term "New Wave" a bit far). Nonetheless some cracking tunes.

Disc 1

1. Tears For Fears - Head Over Heels
2. Altered Images - I Could Be Happy
3. Bow Wow Wow - Go Wild In The Country
4. ABC - Tears Are Not Enough
5. Dead Or Alive - You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)
6. Animotion - Obsession
7. King - Love & Pride
8. Iggy Pop - Real Wild Child (Wild One)
9. The Waitresses - I Know What Boys Like
10. Lloyd Cole & The Commotions - Perfect Skin
11. A Flock Of Seagulls - Wishing (If I Had A Photograph Of You)
12. The Passions - I'm In Love With A German Film Star
13. Nik Kershaw - Wouldn't It Be Good
14. Big Audio Dynamite - E=Mc2
15. Nena - 99 Red Balloons
16. Captain Sensible - Happy Talk
17. Toy Dolls - Nellie The Elephant

Disc 2

1. Julian Cope - World Shut Your Mouth
2. The Psychedelic Furs - Pretty In Pink
3. Joe Jackson - It's Different For Girls
4. Squeeze - Cool For The Cats
5. M - Pop Muzik
6. Visage - Fade To Grey
7. Landscape - Einstein A Go-Go
8. Trio - Da Da Da (I Don't Love You You Don't Love Me Aha Aha Aha)
9. Furniture - Brilliant Mind
10. Monsoon - Ever So Lonely
11. Japan - Quiet Life
12. Kirsty MacColl - New England
13. Sharpe & Numan - Change Your Mind
14. Tom Tom Club - Wordy Rappinghood (You Don't Stop)
15. Haysi Fantayzee - John Wayne Is Big Leggy
16. Fiction Factory - Feels Like Heaven
17. Jona Lewie - You Will Always Find Me In The Kitchen At Parties

Disc 3

1. The Jam - Eton Rifles
2. The Teardrop Explodes - Reward
3. The Damned - Eloise
4. The Runaways - Cherry Bomb
5. The Dickies - Banana Splits
6. Sham 69 - Hurry Up Harry
7. Tenpole Tudor - Swords Of A Thousand Men
8. Lene Lovich - Lucky Number
9. Hazel O'Connor - Eighth Day
10. Jags - Back Of My Hand
11. Jo Boxers - Boxerbeat
12. Eddie & The Hot Rods - Do Anything You Wanna Do
13. Jilted John - Jilted John
14. Splodgenessabounds - Two Pints Of Lager & A Packet Or Crisps Please
15. Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers - Roadrunner (Once)
16. Split Enz - I Got You
17. Sparks - This Town Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us

Select Cheaper have (possibly this) listed for a few pence cheaper if you wanna take a gamble but the item description on their website says "ADODB.Recordset error '800a0cc1' Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal./search/music.asp, line 216", so I am not convinced that it is the same item.

I guess you were born in the 80's :p
Looking at the listings, this has to be one of the better 80's collections with tracks not usually found on the usual 80's compilation, you know the ones, Heart FM playlist!! (e.g Heaven is a place on earth, I think we're alone now, never gonna give you up etc!) .....

Tears For Fears - Head Over Heels
Animotion - Obsession
Flock Of Seagulls - Wishing
Kirsty MacColl - New England
Hazel O'Connor - Eighth Day
Split Enz - I Got You
all tracks that would make my all time Top 10!

Also, who could forget... Jilted John & Nellie the Elephant!!!!

Agreed - this one is different from the usual set of tracks that appear on this compilations, of which I have too many. But I'm going to get this one as well.
worth it for cherry bomb alone

Intruiging.....let me guess:

Tears for Fears
The Jam

Jilted John - Jilted John
14. Splodgenessabounds
does not sound too good but good buy if u know them
lol - Iggy pop & sham 69 - both referred to as 'New Wave' - lofl
heat added for happy talk ;)

Great find.
Must be the only 80's compilation I've ever seen that isn't crammed full of Culture Club, Spandau Ballet and Duran Duran :-D
How often do you see the great Jonathan Richman on a compilation CD?? Good find :)
Some true classics on this collection :

The Passions - I'm In Love With A German Film Star
Furniture - Brilliant Mind
Monsoon - Ever So Lonely

not to mention the usual suspects

Some true dross as well, but not enough to stop me parting with £3.43 ;)

Heat added.
Now ordered - - Thank You :-D

Well done, that's got to be worth a facepadbookpod update...
Just ordered > Classics abound on this album.

Worth every penny just for this:

16. Fiction Factory - Feels Like Heaven

Very good compilation with some thought put into it from the look of it.
Ordered, thanks OP
Thanks OP just ordered a copy :)
Quite a few of those tracks are 1970's. Sparks was originally a hit in 1974, and there's a few from 1978 and 1979.
Haysi Fantayzee - John Wayne Is Big Leggy :-D

Maybe he'll get Patsy this collection as a divorce pressie. :w00t:

Nice selection of songs - great price, ordered ,Thanks.

Some great one-hit wonders here (and some rubbish too), but plenty of songs that are not usually found on bog-standard complilations.

Not many tracks I don't already have and want, but probably enough to justify getting this.
One or two duffers, but otherwise right up my street, nice find.
Got a despatch mail for this. :)
