En-route to the bustling resort centre of Tsilivi, approximately one kilometre away, there is a choice of bars, restaurants, tavernas and shops. "En-route to the bustling resort centre of Tsilivi". When we went there it was barely a village and was lovely. Mind you, that was in 1992.

It's amazing how places can change in a matter of years. It is always useful to learn from people who have been to these places. Thanks

Expect many restuarants to still be shut as this is probably the first flight of the season into Zante.

Its ok if you like it really quiet.

Great price if it slots into someones calendar OK. I'd love to go back just out of curiosity to see how it's changed.

We stayed at Laganas which was quite low rise small and quiet during the day and then at night the strip of bars exploded with people having drinks poured down their necks and stuff. I suspect that it will have changed massively and wouldn't be the kind of place that we'd want to stay at now.

We hired a car for the day and did a tour of the island. Tsilivi particularly stood out as being the nicest place on the island. A boat trip to the north of the island to see the smugglers cove is also well worth it.

Just an observation but Laganas beach had the most topless i've ever seen and has been umatched ever since. Top tip...remember to pack your sunglasses and a newspaper for the beach. :-D

#31 of 43 hotels in Tsilivi on tripadvisor.
Mixed reviews and very miserable staff by the looks of it lol.
Still i would imagine it'd be ok for that price if ya can get away.
Wish i could :(

It's what I like about the Greeks and why they
are in so much doo doo at the moment.
They have had 5 or 6 months closed but they
don't bother opening up at the start of the
season.
I too, wish I could go, it's the best time of
the year

We stayed there. Rooms were ok but small! My review is on TA. Great price if you want a chill out week....

That's very good - you could also use this for the flights and book into another place in advance.

We've been to Kalamaki several years now, booked to go back in June - Laganas for the all night clubs and chain take-aways down to the quieter resorts with traditional Greek tavernas. Shipwreck bay (Navagio) which is only accessible by boat is worth a look (go to the local small port and get a small boat, not the main one). Always good value for money even now the Euro is used. Airport is a bit ridiculous thursday and sundays when most flights run. These flight times seem fine but some flights arrive early morning which means on your return you won't have a hotel room on your final night, just a coach to the airport around 4am!

Easyjet are also flying there this summer, might be forcing deals like this.

We were in that accommodation and flight situation a few years ago at Corfu. We had to vacate our room on the last day at about 10 or 11am and then the coach didn't come until about 2am. Once you lost your room and with it being a self catering setup there were no facilities like you get at a hotel and all in extreme heat. To make matters worst we arrived at about 7:30am. The worst possible start and finish to a holiday and an even worst nightmare with kids. Never again!

Ever since we've booked holidays around decent flight times and have never regretted it.
