Awful, awful album. Deal as I assume it's the best price around but I would recommend listening to it on spotify before you buy it.

Green Day are certainly past their best. Having gone all political-lite conscious they seem to have forgotten how to develop any further, relying on the same old catchy riffage and tone. On the other hand, that's always been enjoyable enough. It's not an awful album by any stretch, so it's worth owning just for more of the same.

21 Guns is the best on this album. Agree with the above. A good 7 songs are good so worth the money for them.

This is sarcasm I hope TropicanaX? 21 Guns is an absolutely saccharined piece of crap of a song, the vocals & pop melody make my ears vomit.

If you like that listen to the latest Sum 41 album Underclass Hero. Like that song but x100 better.

even though im going to see them in glasgow this album is not worth the money stated :| going to be a poor night if the support is bad
obviously in my own opinion though :P

save yourself £4 and buy insomniac which is on another thread for a bargain price of £1.99 a much much better album than this

It was always going to be hard following American idiot, but this album is real bad. Save your money buy anything from their back catalogue apart from this.

I agree, it's a great album. Ok it not a punk old Green Day album but there are some great tracks. Got tickets to see them in Glasgow.

I have used a complex mathematical formulae and run it passed many layman and academics, and came to a consensus.

Its sh1te.

Maybe I'm getting old. maybe Green Day are getting old?

Nope, its sh1te.

I'm getting old, in fact I am old but it's better than some of the the prefabricated and recycled, as in reformed, ***** (sh1te, another warning!) that's around at the moment! :whistling:

Ordered thanks. Don't forget 10% (60p) Quidco.
#16
Lol, the advert on tv advertising this album plays the song 'know your enemy' and its soo poor, generic and repetitive is that the best it has to offer?
#17
Just had a lsiten on Spotify sounds much the same old Green Day stuff which I quite like so with quidco reduction not a bad deal. Just remember this CD never cost that much new anyway was always about £8

quite a few other good cds on the site too

It's the worst track on the CD, by some way. No idea why it was released as a single.

Agreed. Love Green Day, been a fan for over 10 years, love the older stuff, appreciate the modern stuff, but Know Your Enemy is downright crap.

I don't think it's downright crap, compared to other stuff that's out there but then again not excellent if you like their early stuff.... which I do!

What do you think about Horseshoes and Hand grenades, does it remind you of a certain Swedish itchy band? ;-)

Well it's crap for a Green Day song I guess then, there's far worse out there, rather listen to a bad Green Day song than half the stuff on the Radio! I agree about Horseshoes, it's very "Hives", funnily enough there was a song on the Foxboro Hot Tub's album (Green Day side project, not sure if you're aware of it) that really sounds like a Hives track too :)

Sure is unfortunately. :-( I gave up on the radio years ago all I listen to now is CD's / mp3's, whether in house, on train or in car. Not heard about the Foxboro Hot Tub's album I will have to check it out, cheers for letting me know!

I deffo recommend it! It's Green Day, but last year they decided to sneak out a few tracks and then an album under a hidden name for some reason, but it's got some really great catchy sounding tracks and it's quite different to alot of their other stuff, I recommend "Mother Mary" quite highly.
