to be fair their follow up to this Insomniac was good, as was Nimrod, but from there on all a bit dissapointing.

They were good but this is certainly their peak...since when does a "punk" band need session musicians?

since when do punk bands play megadomes!

don't think this band is labelled as a punk band these days just a good entertaining rock n roll band.
they were never that punk anyway but still a great band.
played dookie to death when i was growing up. so a must buy if you havnt got it.

Blimey. How long was it since I got a pre-release promo CD of this? My mates 17 year old son wouldn't have it that I used to go see Green Day in pub venues before he was even born.... I always knew they were pure pop music.

Billie Joe doesn't call themselve punk anymore anyway, he said himself that they were punk people when they set the band up but now their music has changed but they have maintained the punk look.
So yeah, its a brillant album, and green day are more rock than punk. hard to label.

'proper punk' spelling, perhaps
#20
****! Paid £15 for it when it came out in the 90s.
#21
WHAT!! this is criminal - there is no way that albumn should be allowed to sell for such a low price! Like ramccann, I paid about £15 for that when it came out - definitely one of the best CDs in my collection.
#22
Excellent deal. Just got into Greenday so will be a goof buy :)
#23
brilliant album, bought this when first released, hot
#24
Thanks - that's another stocking-filler sorted.
#25
Great deal.

Already have this on CD, cassette and MP3 though.

I don't know, Insomniac and Nimrod were pretty good.

After that however......no.
#33
Like a few others I got this on cassette when it came out – listening to it on my suitcase sized walkman! This is a great punk album and a must.

However, those of us who grew up with Green Day will probably think that Warning is a masterpiece – a shift from punk(ish) to a more mature guitar laden rock band. Back cataloguing is always difficult esp with a band with so many albums like Green Day.
#34
Ace album, had it years! Heat added
#35
Good price I guess but I can't stand Green Day. I love my punk and rock type bands but this lot just leave me cold.
#36
One of the best albums of all time! Heat added.
#37
£1.95 TOO MUCH
#38
Brill album and deal.
Tip: Basket Case makes an excellent ring tone for your mob... whenever someone phones you are alerted by the (often) highly appropriate lyrics: "Do you have the time, to listen to me whine..."

I prefer Insomniac.
