These are fab

They pay for themselves before youve even used a couple. Put your veg in and the veg stays fresh for over a week. Honestly they are truly amazing. Ideal for a single person or a small family who only used a small amount of veg per meal.

My OH got 3 times the sprouts we needed for Christmas, I put them in one of these bags and they were just like new when i took them out for our New Years Day Dinner, I believe there is also meat and bread bags. Who ever invented them deserves a medal.

If these are as effective as the (more expensive) ones from Lakeland, I can strongly recommend them.

Got some from Lakeland, and they are amazingly good at keeping vegetables very fresh - especially greens, such as broccoli.

Apparently it's something to do with what these green bags are made from.

Simply do the same as if you were freezing something - put your veg in the bag, expel as much air as possible and seal with a twist tie. Then keep in fridge or cold room.

Lakeland say theirs work for up to a month.

If they're not sponsored by Chef Excellence any more, then I won't be buying. :)

Wow, great idea. Definitely worth a try at a good price. Thanks OP. :)

thanks for posting OP:)

Sounds like a deal, voted hot. But ... how do they work? (Just interested!)

I really can't believe that we get to the 9th post on Hotukdeals before someone asks "how do they work?" or indeed "What is the evidence that they work". What's depressing is that this deal has become 'hot' and no post has addressed either of these questions.

If it's as easy as this...let me tell you guys that all you have to do is send me £50 by Paypal and I'll wish VERY HARD, and all your life problems will be solved. How does it work? Or does it work? Forget about that....just send me the money and find out!

Couldnt you just use sealable freezer bags (you know the ones with the plastic style zip) or tupperware?

(I'm not criticising the deal, just would have thought they'd do the same thing :) )

Well that's a stupid post. I'm on my phone so can't even begin to explain how stupid you sound. Do you question every single deal, asking how exactly it works. Eg.. Can opener 10p : How exactly does this ermmm can opener work. How? Where is the proof aye? I'm voting cold unless someone explains.. I want proof.

Asking how something works when it's unclear is not a stupid question. Voting it cold because of not knowing is. After all, you wont buy a TV without finding the picture quality first :)

They are supposed to absorbe the ethylene gas that fruit and veg give off.

There really is no point without Chef Excellence.

Cheff Excellence is too busy running his French Hotel to bother with any of this food bag nonsense.

The OP says they are good, post 3 recommends this type of bag generally and @ £1 for 20. If no good, I'll put them in my SAS survival kit to crap in when out in the woods :p

That's what we used to do, and still do sometimes.

But from experience I can assure you that the green bags are superior.

As others have said, you can't go wrong at this price, so why not give 'em a whirl!
