Saw these the other day, but think they were only 25% off - will definitely look if they have reduced down to 75% off ... thanks :)

these are usually quite expensive (compared to this ) top deal if nationwide
luckily Im in Teesside so I'll pop over and have a look
Sounds pretty cheap. I'll have to check if my local Wikinsons have any.
Wilkinson's at Sunderland and Chester le Street both have them in. I bought one in Sunderland about a week ago but must say I have not used it yet as I am unable to understand how to set it up.
I heard that those new smart meters that everyone getting fitted at some point give a read out of the whole houses power at any time. But that could be ages yet so useful deal still
what would you use this for exactly

Plug this into a socket and then plug in the device/appliance. You can then measure the amount of energy the appliance uses and therefore how much it is costing you.
Previously posted here but expired for no good reason (probably on a shelf too high to see).

I've got one, a bit fiddly to set up I thought but OK for the price if you really need one. If it changes the way you use electricity it might just save the cost of the product.
Lots in my local store (maidstone) in the bargain bin.Useufull bit of kit for £2.25
Went to 2 stores today and both store staff said that they didn't sell such a product, had a look around didn't see any either.
Picked three up from the Newcastle Under Lyme store. The still have about six left. They were on a red stock trolley near the DIY section. Hot!
Got one today. It was a big pile slightly hidden at the end of an ail slightly even from the electrical goods, so not easy to find. Price is good, but I had to change the batteries and polish the contacts before it works, the factory installed ones had leaked. Construction is cheap, and I have the feeling that it does not take power factor into consideration. But it is still a useful gadget to estimate energy consumption.
estimate energy consumption.

:? it gives an exact reading
Bought one of these from Wilkos a few months ago... just got round to (trying) to set it up... blimey! Anyone else struggling? :(
