Ok, so I am probably going to get told how stupid I am for buying an iPad etc.

But this is the best price for this stand that I have seen! It is in the shops for around £39.99.

Yes even at £23.99 it is expensive, but it is VERY well made, and this is the best price for it.

To get this price, take a look at the sellers on the right. Its only a few pennies more from Amazon themselves. Priced £24.44. Personally, purchased from Amazon.

I needed a good quality sturdy stand for my iPad and this by far is the best one! You can leave the iPad in its case in the stand which is a bonus too!

I could never quite bring myself to spend £20-40 on a stand so I looked around and found this…

Depending how good you are at a bit of woodwork - you can make one for free. See the instructables site. Very easy to make and actually very good too.

Excellent, not only does he have a brilliant Apple Device he's also only a keyboard away from a Netbook which your average Ill informed Apple Hater will say is soo much better than an iPad.

I expected those sort of comments lol.

TBH I was making them until I actually owned one. Keyboard isn't needed. I use my iPad to read academic journals. I put my iPad in the stand, and type up assignments on my computer, taking quotes from them as I go.

Idiot.

iPad is one of the best purchases I made tbh. You cannot compare them to netbooks.
They're a dream to use, I've put all my diploma reading onto it so don't need to carry a massive a4 binder around with me. And it doesn't have any awful window OS on it.

Apple "haters" are just jealous.

What makes you think only Students use Apple devices?

You were 'slapped aside' for a frankly stupid comment that bears no value to the discussion in this deal.

Perhaps if you'd tried harder at school you'd understand that without having to be told.

+1

To be fair, any apple deal anyone posts should expect to get some bashing from people. Similarly with starbucks deals.

If it's popular, some on here seem to want to hate it!

That's just the point, why should you expect people to be negative. Unless it can be found cheaper elsewhere then it's a deal - Simple.

The Best Buy MBP one is going the same way, and I agree that the usual mis informed contingent do post drivel about how good their PC's/Netbooks and Android devices are but that isn't in the spirit of this website.

If you want reviews use REVOO, if you want deals use HUKD.

Agreed. Just the way it is on here. As I like starbucks too, but all there deals get slated.

I'm not a particular fan of McDonalds, but I dont share that info on every McDonalds deal that is posted!

To the people that have voted cold, where did you find it cheaper? I can still send mine back to Amazon, and buy it at the cheaper place :-)
#17
They're the same price instore at Tesco, without any carriage charges

Really? Not seen them in there personally, but good for some.

Amazon offer free delivery for anything over £5, and the £23.99 clearly says "free postage."

So if you voted cold because of carriage charges you are simply wrong.

Wit and repartee. If you are trying to sound clever using a tautology doesn't usually work.

If read in context,of which you obviously have not I was being ironic.ie a lack of wit and repartee of students.By the way, your banal utterance appears to have arrived rather late.

So you have no problems spending £400 on a poncey etch-a-sketch, but won't shell out £20 for a stand?

If anyone has a gorillapod (small camera tripod) they make great ipad stands as well. So something to bear in mind if you want a tripod as well.

Idiot! Not when I can make my own for nothing and it works better for what I need it for i.e. it doesn't take up as much desk space.

Voted hot as this is a great deal and the best price I can find on-line.

I too find it amusing at the utter ignorance of the Apple haters on this forum. I personally own both windows machines and an iPad and can honestly say (As it appears people are too ignorant to think about it...) they are aimed at an entirely different demographic.

I believe it also appropriate to mention that I work for a large IT corporation whom is the market leader in what they do and they themselves are currently trialling iPad's as a business tool; the user of which will hardly be your stereotypical student. How many all in one devices can be taken into a room and used for smart board presentations, digital notes with hand writing recognition, voice activated meeting recordings with voice recognition and automatic distribution... Add on top the ability to do general tasks such as surf the internet, play games with the added benefit of an accelerometer, the SFF...

I love all things electronic and see no reason why people knock the iPad so bad... I for one think it's a case of the green eyed monster or people would simply keep their opinions to themselves and not make utter fools of themselves with misinformed / uneducated banter.

P.S. I'm writing this from my Windows 7 Laptop which I love and could not live without.

Be serious, surely the iPad 2 will fit in this? My phone does! My Tv remote, probably a Samsung galaxy tab.

It is only a stand, it doesn't just fit the ipad, but it is marketed as such.

I got a fabulous viewing stand and docking stand of Focalprice for around £4 each delivered - can't beat that site price wise for Ipad accessories.
LOVE my Ipad - best invention ever and 3's MIFI brilliant!
