It plugs into an IPOD and enables you to trasmit to an FM signal so you can play your music wirelessly :)

You plug it into the bottom of your ipod and then tune it to an unused station on your radio (usually a car one is the most popular). Now tune your car stereo into the same freq and hey presto you now can listen to your ipod via your car stereo

Is that clear enough ?

very good, I use one myself since my car doesnt have a audio jack :(

A cable plugs into the headphone socket on your ipod or mp3 player, then the music is sent out on a mini FM broadcaster in the device, you can set what frequency it transmits at on the device usually and then you just tune your car radio to that freq and Bob's your Father's Brother.
