This is an interesting idea. Does anyone have one of these to comment on how well it works?

I got one of these a while back when babycurls were doing an offer of buy two grobags get the nightlight free. They are brilliant - the nightlight gives a nice blue glow from four LED's (which are very energy efficient) and the brightness is adjustable. You can set a daylight sensor which sets which light (the LED's or normal bulb) comes on dependant on the light level. The best function is the override where if you flick the light off and on quickly at the switch you can alternate between the LED's and normal bulb. Very handy for times when you need a light quickly - ie puke related incidents!

Not sure this should have been expired?

You can still order but just with a longer lead time. Nothing worng with ordering if you can afford the wait?

Some people will still benefit.

Mods - unexpire please?

Is this REALLY useful or just a gadget that works well?

Did you parents miss out because they weren't invented?

Do yourself and your child a favour and stick the tenner in the child trust fund, it will come in useful in a few years time.

Alternative option is a run of the mill Osram energy saving bulb with LED.

Cost around £4, one switch activates the LED, switch off and on to get the full 40W.

Not got bells and whistles but handy all the same in a babies\childs room
