Tempted by this, but don't know very much about drills. All I know is that Makita is a reputable brand, hence it would be helpful if anyone with a bit more experience with these powertools could provide some insight and their two cents.

Thanks :3

Would read this first:

"The new Makita G-Series has been designed especially to meet the needs and aspirations of home owners and ambitious young tradesmen requiring traditional Makita-quality power tools but at an affordable level of performance and purchasing capacity.
In the G-Series range of machines, the legendary Makita quality of materials and engineering is faithfully maintained whilst the specification and performance factor is tailored to match the lower budget and less stringent applications of home owners, competent DIYers, trade apprentices and trainees who are not yet able, or have the need, to purchase professional-level Makita power tools."

PS - the batteries are not compatible with Makita's LXT range

In the title the price is unbelievable, in the description the price is quite good.

Fractionally cheaper on Ebay, it's nothing amazing, just Makita flogging off old low end stock.

14.4v isn't great for a hammer drill

Cancelled at paypal as it mentioned something to do with a 25% promotion code on your first purchase and I couldn't see where to enter the code now it won't let me buy the item again and says that the payment was unsuccessful on the last purchase... and "Sorry, purchase not possible. You've already bought the maximum vouchers allowed for this deal".

Edit : The code wouldn't of worked anyway :/

piece of rubbish, not a real makita, some sort of cheaper quality rubbish

The Bosch drill from B&Q is a better deal. someone posted on here earlier in the week.

Rubbish deal, groupons hit and miss. The drill is lower quality than 'normal' Makita. Taken from the review earlier "aspirations of home owners and ambitious young tradesmen"

That clearly shows that they are not intended to last for long. The 1.3mAh batteries are the cheapest you can get and dont last long per charge.
