If you're a DIYer you'll know that a FUGI set costs an arm and a leg normally, so this is a really good deal.

If you've never heard of these they make the job of applying mastic sealant to bath and worktops easy and professionally finished.

Sorry mate, your finger might be ok for 50cm but not full bathroom.....
Good deal, bought one on Thursday.....

I need one!

this gives a finish far superior than a finger. but then if theres a poor quality finish before sealant is applied you would be as well using a finger because at least your finished work will be consistantly bad lol

:{ it's a bit obvious you're not a tiler or that experienced as a DIYer.
These tools do make jobs easier especially grouting and using special cements;
but sponge/hand gives a much better tiling finnish and white spirit/finger always gives a far superior finish with mastic/sealent

Hot because of the great price

I got some from QVC for about £8. The only advantage your finger has over these, is that you will most likely know where your finger is and have it ready at all times.

I was surprised how much difference these things make.

Don't be sorry. I really couldn't tell you how many bathrooms I've fitted and tiled in my time. I lost count about 20 years ago. What do you think we were using LONG before someone thought we needed all these gimmicks?

Are thumbs ok or is just fingers, perhaps a plastic thumb may be best option??

Would you be kind enough to elaborate a little more?
I've only ever used the "spit/finger" method, but your "white spirit/finger" method sounds more hygenic.
My concern when using a silicon sealant would be that the white spirit might interfere with the curing process. What is your experience?

My hubby hates seating round bath and sink- this tool looks good

Whether using a finger or some type of finishing tool, a liquid lubricant is necessary when smoothing. Use a strong (50:50) washing-up liquid/water solution for silicone sealants; white spirit for true mastics and plain water for decorator's (acrylic) sealant.

ha ha i build houses. and you have no regard for your own health. Imagine me dipping my fingers in white spirit all day. sealants are'nt just used for tiling. so please dont' attept to judge on my ability of my profesion and/or my diy capabilities when obv you dont know me. and the statement still stands if its rough before sealant it will still be rough after you have to dollop loads on with your finger,
