Been growing my own veg for years, and can wholeheartedly reccomend this to anyone new or experienced, it really is excellent.

Nothing like a coffee table garden/cookbook that just looks good, Carol really knows her onions! and this is an excellent reference book for anyone that wants to grow their own....hey there is a recession by the way. The cook your own veg book is the same price, yet the two book set is still £21.

£3.39 is for store pick up and next cheapest is a fiver with the bookpeople, but after that it's £12 upwards pretty much everywhere.

Great book and now really good value.

Remember, W H Smith now charge for orders under £15 (although, as Jeffliv says, you can now pick an order up from your local shop).
Really good book. I got into gardening around the time this came out, I watched the programme a few times and liked it. My mate got it and said i couldn't borrow it and should buy my own. Worked out well!

I really enjoy it and use it a lot for reference. It makes growing stuff very easy.
ordered mine, great find thanks. any idea how long it takes for you to be able to collect at store?
Thanks. Worth a look at that price. Some good reviews on Amazon. 8% Quidco too.
I was going to post this earlier!

Her latest book "grow your own fruit" is available for £4.99 delivered at the book people if you use the free delivery code from this site
quidco @ 8% too... that makes it £3.12
Nice one :) this might make me get off my butt and plant some veggies like I've been planning to for years!!
Nice one :) this might make me get off my butt and plant some veggies like I've been planning to for years!!

My late dad used to grow all kinds of veg for many years, always tasted much nicer than supermarket bought... although when he podded peas/broad beans it was always one for his mouth and one for the bowl.
I had a go growing veg last year and did some broad beans, going for parsnips and cauliflowers this will come in handy.
#9 is currently unavailable due to scheduled maintenance.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

High demand it seems!
I tried growing my own herbs last year, which are suppose to be one of the easiest things to grow.. they all died! =[ I must be really poo in the garden.. would this help me as I can't see me growing veg if I can't grow simple herbs lol
This is a really good book - well worth the money. In fact I am tempted to get one for a gift for a friend!
We've got this. Can't recommend it enough, we were total grow your own beginners but ended up harvesting lots by using this.
Have this and the cook your own veg both by Carol

Hot, now I can get her great advice by reading it instead of having to endure her smug voice :-D
