quick question

can they record just what is on Freeview and what is on terrestrial tv (BBC1, BBC2, ITV CH4 and FIVE)
or can they also record stuff from a SKY or NTL box?

theres a couple of programmes on Discovery and National Geo that id like to record now and again!
Will only record freeview
Okay stupid question

Does this just connect to an aerial or what?
Mmmmmmmm, looks very much like my old fella's Goodmans GHD8015F2?!?

Yes, it connects to an aerial and no it wont record Sky, NTL etc etc........
is there a reason for it not recording sky?

And also is there any hdd boxes that tape off sky as thats what im looking for?

It only records a signal via the aerial input so that is why it will not record things like sky etc. Other than a sky+ box I think the only other alternative is the Tivo that can be found second hand on ebay.

I can't get freeview reception, but would like a digital recorder.

Will this record analogue terrestial broadcasts?

Also how do you transfer stuff you want to keep from the hard disk to a blank DVD?
