number of HDMI connections is confusing.

Says 2 at one point and then 1 somewhere else ... I guess it's a total of 3, but it's not clear on the face of it.

Nah, the HDMI connectors won't be on the face of the unit...they'll be round the back somewhere...

Saw a Grundig in action about a year ago round a friends house. Noted not this particular TV or model, but it couldnt do colours, and the picture was awful.

Suggest reading some reviews before going anywhere near this !

fairly decent review....taking into consideration price

here http://www.trustedreviews.com/tvs/review/2009/02/26/Grundig-GU37BLKSE-37in-LCD-TV/p1

main issue seems to be sound quality.

Yeah i agree. I have a Grundig and regret getting it ever since! Poor viewing angle and poor colour/contrast (yes i have played with the settings with no success).

dont forget quidco...should get another £8.93 for this....

Shame, almost looks like the perfect budget 37" until you read about the lack of saturation.

Still a good deal, it's performance with sd material looks to be great for the price.

got this TV delivered the other day....

For the money this compares very well against my Samsung Plasma. The chap who mentioned that another grundig TV he had seen and the colours where poor.....maybe the user had the setting wrong on the tv....this tv has various picture modes, eg sport, games, movie, user and when flicking through some of these eg USER pref this was poor, as you have to set your own colour settings.

The TV looks good, sounds good....only issue I had was the stand would have been better if it was the same gloss plastic as the tv frame....the stand is a matt plastic and dosn't look as nice.

I am happy with the purchase and many thanks to the OP.
