Ouch, now that is poor.

its just for the bedroom though

You can always return it if you don't like it or it doesn't do what you bought it for (e.g. use as a PC monitor). That's the beauty about shopping in Argos.

My last Grundig was a VCR which lasted for over 10 years, so company can't be that bad.

I read at least 20 reviews on argos' website and 90% of the time everyone has only good to say about it, check it for yourself.

I picked up one of these last week. Nice little set with lots of settings to play with including backlight adjustment and colour temperature. But be aware the screen is 16:10 and not 16:9 as advertised. You don't really notice on Freeview cos it just crops the sides a little but if you want to feed HD in via component or HDMI the image gets a bit squashed :-(.

It's also a big downside - it's easy to get something someone has used and returned as well. I've had to return several things over the years, because they didn't look new. I used to work with a person who would regularly buy stuff on a Friday, use it all weekend - and return it on Monday.

Pure digital DVI to HDMI would be best. You can also do an analogue connection Component to VGA but go didgital if you can. Get cables from ebay for a few quid .

Now £114.99 plus if you buy before Monday 21st Sept you get a £10 gift voucher. Fill yer boots I say

Edit: That's if you can find one of course.
