good deal if they give you activation key. you would be able to use any image than just download and burn it onto cd
#2
Morrisons sell it in the box for the same price. Hot non the less

Aint that the truth.

They should give this one away with new graphics cards, that's the only way you'll run it. I think downloading this would kill my bandwidth limit too.

If they give you the activation key you should be able to activate it through steam. I like to do that just to keep my games all in one place and it also keeps them up to date. I did this with Modern Warfare 2, I bought it though Games download service which was £10 cheaper than on steam and then just pasted in the activation code.
Anyway this is hot for me.

Its more CPU than GPU intensive, you really need a good Quad core processor to run it well

Also be aware its a huge download. 16 Gigabytes! It might be faster going out and getting it in the box for people with average connections!

Not as good as when Steam was selling it for £4.99 over Christmas, but voted hot nonetheless :)

That's only for certain games, and i don't believe this is one of them.

List of accepted games is here - https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7480-WUSF-3601

Ahh, I should have checked. Thanks for pointing that out!

There is an article about Games for Windows Live in this month's Edge, I'd advise anybody considering buying this to try to read it beforehand if they can.

No worries

Like you i prefer all my games on steam for the convenience, I'll pay a bit extra to get a game on steam over retail but it's always good to know what keys are accepted to see if you can buy cheaper retail and add it to steam anyway.

Like someone has already mentioned, this was £4.99 at christmas and i bought it then, I don't know why as i'd already had it on ps3 and thought it was crap, which was a shame as III, san andreas and vice city are amongst my favourite games. I just can't resist a bargain :p And yea, it was still crap after the first few hours so i haven't been back to it.

Not really, runs fine at 1080p with my 4870, Q8400 and 4Gb ram on WIndows 7 64 Bit, with mostly high details. Crysis doesnt run at 1080p, well it does, but only about 20-25 FPS.
#15
I run it very well on my i7 920 @ 2.8Ghz with 6GB ram and a 4870 1GB on Windows 7 64-bit if this helps anyone

Yes... I quite regret passing on that opportunity.

I already had both GTA4 and Episodes from Liberty City on the 360, but now i'd love to see it on my gaming rig with some of the gorgeous visual mods.

Helpful for anyone who wants to read the bleedin' obvious. Any game released in the last 12 months that doesn't run ok on that spec is gonna have a hard sell.

I bought it and paid immediately via PayPal at about 6pm... Got the confirmation email which said they will send me the activation key when the order clears. Still waiting for that activation key. :x

I got this game in smyth for £4.99 but it was the last one left lol heated added anyway
#20
Think I'm going to pre-order EFLC instead as it's only £14.99 from Play.com. Hopefully they have managed to optimise the code slightly...
I presume the multiplayer will be compatible with GTA IV players.

Anyone want to buy my pristine 360 version? :p

Actually there do seem to be some other crappy console ports that run poorly even on my system and that have sold reasonably, probably just due to their reputation as "hurf a durf i haz dis game y0 so i iz cool y0 like da console gamers" games.

As for this game, I still say it is a pretty badly optimised port and even though it runs well for me, it should still run a lot better than it does.

This runs shockingly on an e6600 @ 3.2ghz with 2gb ram and a 4850 if this info helps anyone

OK, I got my activation code this morning.

I have an E7400 (2.8GHz), 4GB RAM and a GTS250. It ran horribly, until I overclocked the processor to 3.8GHz. So yeah, unless you have something fairly high end on the Core 2 scale, or you're overclocking a low end Core 2 processor it might not be worth it.
