Very hot.

They take money straight away at point of order and don't usually deliver on day of release. They are supposed to but never do as they don't really have much of a clue about how this preorder business is meant to work. If you want the cheapest price @ minute fair enough but if you want to play it on day of release it's probably not going to happen.

honestly id stay well clear of argos for pre orders they are hopeless, pre ordered a game in august game was due for release sept 18th still no game cold from me as argos are rubbish, if anything i would do it for store pick up if possible
#4
Am I correct in thinking this is just the two DLC episodes as a standalone and does not include the main storyline? Have finished the main game and didnt want to buy the DLC with no trade in value, so might pick this up when it gets sub £15.

You are incorrect :) You can sell your GTA disk and buy this as it also includes the main game

Yeah I ordered FIFA 10 with Argos, only delivered today. It sucks!

If you buy this from Argos or anywhere else that sells it, you do not need your GTA IV disc to play either of these 2 episodes from this disc purchase.

You cannot however sell your GTA IV and expect to be able to play GTA IV main game from the disc as it is not included on the 2 episodes disc

I really can't decide whether to buy this retail release or burn 1600 Live points.
Don't think i'm that fussed about playing The Lost and the Damned, but it would be nice to keep some drive space free.

1.5% possible Quidco as well .£21.66

Good price but im going to wait for this to hit the £15 mark. Its a budget title and they usually drop in price quite quick.

Voted hot, but I'm holding out too. So many games being released in the run to xmas and if any of last years deals are to go by, we'll have some good bargains too.

Last year Fable 2 could be nabbed for £17.99, pre-xmas. Madness.

great price!

Could you just rent this and install the DLC to your HDD then take it back? Or is it different to other DLC disks?

Not likely as it runs/ standalone from disc

Very hot, almost wish I had a 360 for this, really going to miss it having only a PS3. Still very hot price, voted hot. :)

I preordered Beatles Rock Band from Argos and it turned up a day after release, although their order tracking was a bit pants.

Does this play like GTA IV with extra missions, or is it more the gameplay and controls like GTA III - which in my opinion, was easily the nadir of the series.

Looks like they have gone for the older type gameplay you prefer if you look at the First play here -

"GTA 4 Ballad of Gay Tony: Five ways it rocks! "
http://www.electricpig.co.uk/2009/09/16/gta-4-ballad-of-gay-tony-five-ways-it-rocks/

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The big difference between the Disc version and the downloadable version is -

The disc version gives you both games AND you can play it "without the disc"

The download version preview of "gay Tony"on Live says "you need the GTA disc to run it"

The disc version is by far the best way of getting this..

This bit is out of context they mean without the original GTAIV (surely)

Either way you cannot magic a playtime with this content out of thin air. ...It will not play from hard drive without either the original gtaiv(if DLC) or the standalone disc(disc content)

Both DLC's are 1600 so times that buy two is 3200 and that is equal to £27.20. So so both of them and the main game for £21.99 is a steal.
#23
EDIT: My question is already answered above.

Yeah but its not both of them and the main game. Its just both of them. You cant play the main game off this disc.

Ordered a few days ago, but still haven't received any confirmation from argos despite money being taken. Is this normal for them?
