i dont see the point in game guides

your meant to do it yourself, that's the whole point of the game
#4
www.gamefaqs.com that should sort you out for any game ever made, all for the great price of ........nothing :)
For those that want the guides though, this is a blinding deal,

Mike..
#5
was gonna get the gta one from play for £8 ,think ill wait now
#6
I don't generally do guides either (gamefaqs does me) but at a quid each I just got the guides!
normally I play a game to complete it then use a guide 2nd time around to make sure I see everything!
#7
Am I Missing something isn't this info is pretty much all over the net for free? Whenever I get stuck I always checkout walkthroughs.

Anyway you probably aren't gonna find a better price than this, voted hot!

I never understood these. Surely games are meant to be challenging.

I find the odd search of the internet if I'm REALLY stuck is all I need.

Voted hot, though because the DEAL is good. ;)

Pro Evolution 2008 guide = run and shoot surely
#11
Any idea if they had Lost Odessey?
#12
I bought the GTA guide for around £12, I only got it because it was easier for the pigeons achievements.

Brilliant price. :)

L.O. definitely needs a guide for the purposes of completion  Gamefaqs did me fine though. Gonna have a look in HMV tomorrow.

I don't do guides either... but if anyone here has completed GTA IV 100% (not just the story) without a guide of some sort and does not work for Rockstar, they should be presented with a solid gold 'Huntley' Sport by the creators of the game. Voted Hot.
#22
No one in their right mind should or would buy these "guides" at the price they normally sell for. However for £1 why not? voted hot.
#23
HAve you seen the fallout 3 guide ? Amazing well worth a tenner.

FOr £1. Well.

Save yourself a pound:

Go somewhere and kill someone
Take so and so to a bar
Take so and so bowling
Take so and so to a club
Go somewhere and kill someone
Take so and so to a bar
Take so and so bowling
Take so and so to a club
Go somewhere and kill someone

Nice reduction over the RRP though but I can't imagine anyone should need it.. (unless you want to find the pidgeons but there are plenty of maps online)
#25
Hot.

Will check in Oxford Street branch tomorrow.
#26
Good deal really. wonder if i can trade them in at game or gamestation :p
#27
Gonna try checking out my local HMV tomorrow, thanks

That did make me LOL but I won't have this game slated like that! There's more to it... take so and so to play darts and pool for example! I'm a truely loyal GTA fan and I can't say I'm loyal to any other game series...except Hitman and the multiplayer modes in gta IV are awesome. I just feel that Rockstar set a very high standard in developing the GTA series so that they have a lot of replay value that so many others fail to even come close to. True I can't be bothered to find all the nonsense things, but it's good I suppose if you're bored and completed the story and just want to drive/mess about...gives you something to do I guess.

Irrelevant whether walkthroughs are available or whether you should you use them.

Good deal, this.

i always use gamefaqs but if a guide is a quid, well its always handy if your not able to access a computer at the time.

if i see them ill get GTA IV for £1 - wouldnt bother with the others like, but if there is a Lego Star Wars one id get it for my brother as he is currently going through it and i cant be bothered to keep helping him lol.
#31
excellent. will check bolton stores tmrw..
#32
You must be **** for a game guide, Just give up on the computer front and buy a yo-yo
#33
Full price in Oxford Street :x
#34
Gonna go and check HMV in Croydon now, will report back...
#35
Full price
#36
Couldn't find any discounted guides in Croydon, all were full price but I couldn't find the old ones like GTA IV so maybe they were elsewhere in the store and the assistants didn't know.
#37
All full price in Nottingham Listergate today
#38
Not nationwide so should be expired.
#39
yup not in all stores so should be mentioned. went to my local and took guides to the counter (inc gta iv) and no reduction.
#40
Also, I have to say the point of the MGS4 guide is that it has a lot of artwork and interviews and is really nicely put together, can't say the same for the others.
