Been keeping an eye out for a great GTX 1080 deal.
This is one of the best cards for cooling, in my opinion it is not worth the extra £150 for the highest card. Minimal performance difference for Pascal between cards.
£567.26 for the card with Prime.
I also put this thought flubit.co.uk for just £ 537.93 so if you are willing to wait a week or so for delivery extra £30 off.

I believe there is a nvidia event at CES within 24hrs. They might give details on the 1080 ti so if you were holding out for that then might be worth looking at that.

Indeed, 1080 may drop in price further .....

It's possible. I think it might be good to keep an eye on ebay for second hand 1080. I'm sure there will be people who will sell their 1080 for a 1080ti.

I don't think the 980 dropped in price a huge amount after the 980ti got announced but I could be wrong.

Heat.
I paid £620 for this card at launch and it's a beast.
Cooling is superb as is OC.

Don't think price will come down officially when the 1080ti comes out. The 980 didn't anyway.
Probably have some second hand on ebay like mentioned though.

I would almost guarantee the price comes down when the 1080ti is announced.

And, you are pretty much dead wrong about your 'didn't drop in price' bit.

Announced in May, released in June. Look at that price drop.
Lesser dips, but spiked down here:

Similar down trend around may here:

Anyway, maybe too much info, but yes, there was a price drop in 980s, and I would not be surprised to see a price drop in 1080s too.

Just like last year, the presentation made no mention of new gaming GPUs.

- Big focus as usual on AI, deep learning, self-driving cars.

- GeForce Experience now can integrate with Facebook Live

- A new Android TV SHIELD device supporting 4K HDR.

- "NVIDIA SPOT" was announced, their version of Amazon's Alexa

they're not going to announce the 1080ti until after AMD announce Vega. So they can choose what card design they have to release.

Little to none with nvidia, while there is no competition from AMD at the top end of the market nvidia will slap what ever price they like on those high end cards.

All that will happen with the launch of the 1080ti is that will be priced at £1000+

Welp. Was eyeing one of these for Christmas at £580 and then was told to wait for CES and the 1080 Ti announcement. Pretty disappointed by the keynote. Everyone is now saying wait until VEGA and see the price drop / reactionary release of the 1080 Ti ! Keep waiting! Wait until Ryzen! Q4 2017!

So I said ENOUGH! No more waiting. Arriving tomorrow with Prime. 8) Cheers OP

AMD say Q1 for Vega, going off past promises that means late Q2. If it's pants then Nvida may drop the TI and switch their focus to the 11 series.

Basically you could potentially be waiting a very long time for a price drop. No point basing it what happened with the 9 series, each gen is different.

This is a great price and if you need to upgrade then why wait? If it's out of your budget then get a 1070.

You won't be disappointed, it's a beast of a card and can handle pretty much everything you throw at it!
