Are posters certain that it is the 240V version of these available from these other stores for 3 for £1 etc? Normally 12V DC variants in my experience.

Yep, Gu10 240V 50W 2 for £1 at Poundland and have been for a while.
Still waiting for someone to produce an LED GU10 that produces a halogen-like light output. The ones I've seen have been too dim and a very unnatural shade of white.

I saw some in my local Netto @ 2 for £1 yesterday
(240v version)

Nice price so voted hot. I usually find Aldi fairly good pricewise on these at £2.69 for three. Just a passing comment but I find these bulbs have a very short life compared to a conventional filiment bulb. Puts me off buying any more fittings that use them. Dread to think what I have spent on replacements over the last few years.

My bulbs are always blowing great find. heat added.

Just about to buy some of these and another thing that makes a big difference is the FLOOD factor........you can get 25, 40 & 50 degree variant's .....

Does anyone know what angle these project at ?
