I've got a makita corded multi tool and I managed to cut some files that were on the wall, mind you I did go through a few blades as I only had wood and metal cutting blades

Anyone know if the measurements of the corded version include any of the cord (i.e. Strain relief)

Need to cut a built in cupboard base to allow the stopcock to turn (thanks previous owners), trying to work out clearance required.

Personally not got that one. However if it helps then the blade on the end can fit in any direction so if its too long the pit the blade at a 90 degree angle and cut sideways

Great for getting in tight places. I used mine to chop really close to the edge on a floorboard. I bought the Aldi one and thought this is going to be rubbish and was well impressed.

which one best cordless or wired?

i have the corded version of this. Its the best and most used tool i own. Main use was for cutting into the bottom of the door jambs so i can lay my wooden floors. It makes a hell of a racket though.

The guild branded tools were initially a lot more but since the australian company has overtaken homebase theyre getting rid of the british stock. Theyve not done a was and now price. Just a clearence price

WTF. This is the corded one. Why all the discussion about it being cordless? Is it me? As the late Terry Wogan would say.
Cordless link.
