Wow.....credit crunch is really hitting, very good price indeed, heat added....

I wonder, is it the same price on the PS3? Not that I care much for the console.....just that some peeps reading this thread no doubt will ask.
#2
TBH I don't know - it was the usual display of non-descriptive units which only had the 360 version in there. I've a feeling it might be the same on the PS3 too.

PS3 seems to be more available in stores yesterday Xbox selling fast.

was it at the same price (£127)? If so, I'll update my post.
#5
Same price, bargain I reckon and I have heard vouchers in store for money off if you spend over so much, sorry vague but worth keeping eyes open. The set up is alot better than Rock band.
#6
I put it on here last night but new to the site and didnt know what I was doing lol.
#7
Cheers - updated first post now. I'd assume it's the same for the wii too :)

I was all set to buy this previously until some nasty bstard smashed my rear windscreen and I had to fork out for that - GRRR!
#8

I'm hoping this dips below the ton in January sales, so I'll hold fire until then. Great price pre-xmas though!
#14

Strange.... its actually advertised in the SUN ??? So you would think it would be national

The set up is alot better than Rock band.

The game is a lot worse, though - doubly so for my favourite instrument (drums).

When I seen this in the Sun this morning, I called around all the asdas looking for it in stock for x box 360. No one seemed to even have heard of the offer and cannot find any in stock the whole of Scotland. Brilliant price......but does it actually exist. Does anyone know where I can buy the bundle with the extra guitar from a shop. Its getting a bit late to trust delivery from online now.
#19
Was about to buy it from Argos at £146 yesterday, but checked in Asda first.... and £127 gladly paid!

Will make a great present for my family!

Heat added

AND yet again - no damn stock on PS3 platform here in MK...
Thats no PS3 Band Bundles in Tesco OR Asda within 20 miles of here:x

I'm beginning to think there's a supermarket conspiracy going on:whistling:

Save your money for the January sales.
If you can't wait then do yourself or your kids a favour and get them Rock Band instead, it's a lot better.
Good price though :santa:
#23
good price also available for 90p more @ tesco if asda have sold out

Can someone please explain what the big deal is about this game?

I bought it at Costco a few weeks ago, and promptly took it back when I couldn't see the point.
I bought the kids a real guitar, drums and piano instead which seemed to make more sense. Better to learn a real instrument (I thought)

Or am I missing something

Yep. I'm pretty sure you're missing something

I hate the whole "buy a real guitar" argument when it comes to Guitar Hero.
This is a game. Actually learning to play an instrument isn't.
I play guitar and love guitar hero. It's tons of fun when you have you're friends over and play as a band. It's alot easier than setting up a full drum kit and amps in your living room.

It's like telling people who play the dance mat games to take up dance classes.

Sure these type of games aren't for everyone. But to say it's pointless is a bit daft. It's a game. And an incredibly fun game at that.

I didnt say it was pointless....I just said i didnt see the point. There is a huge difference.

Similar price at tesco.
#31
I suppose the game just isn't for you.
In my opinion though it's the best game you can have when it comes to social gaming.
It's great for just having people over for a game, and even better for at house parties.
#32
Do both. I have a real guitar but can still enjoy playing Guitar hero. it's a game, not a substitute for learning to play an instrument.

Exactly.

@ The person who said get Rock Band....

No point doing that when they are bringing a new and better guitar and drumset. You can also use your GH:WT drums and guitars on Rockband but you can't the other way round.

As for those hoping the price will drop after Xmas, i would not expect it to go anywhere near the £100 mark if it does get a reduction. Guitar Hero 2 W/guitar on the Xbox 360 stil has an RRP of £69.99 and i don't think i have ever seen a game/guitar bundle for less than £40 with this containing a good quality mic and a great drum kit if the band bundle does come down it will be to £149.99 (remember the likes of game are still charging £169.99, the RRP).

Having played with both this and the Rock Band drums i would say the GH:WT ones are much better build quality and cause a lot less noise when playing.

This is a bargain price HOT HOT HOT

Where is it? Instore only?

OK: a summary...
costs a fraction of the cost of a piano, drums and real guitar, however no piano included
no music lessons involved for three children
It's a GAME not the start of a career in music.
Appeals to Chavs and middle classes alike.
Will appeal to the talentless in an X-Factor sort of way...(like me).
I like it, (or would like it)...like Rock Guitar too in an air guitar sort of way!

What is taxing me is this...if this had been around in Mozart's day would he have written all that lovely music or frittered his spare time away on this instead? mmmh...

What was my point? I've forgotten!

Good post poster!

I bought this last week from Asda for £146. Do they have a policy where they can refund the difference?
#38
