Just a note to multiple console owners, unlike other versions of Guitar Hero World Tour for the PS3 and Xbox 360, the instruments are NOT intercompatible with Rock Band 1/2 on the Wii, so you are better off getting it for the 360 or PS3

Stupidly instead of following Nintendos guideline of making any external peripheral utilise the wii remote, Harmonix somehow bypassed this guideline and as a result Rock Band doesn't utilise the Wii Remote and hence the controllers are not intercompatible.

So its buy one or the other or both with the Wii sadly, and there is no way around it.

I am voting it neutral, hardly Red Octanes fault here, but its dumb that the Wii is in that situation, making either Rock Band bundle or Guitar Hero Bundle such a pressured choice and not being able to then buy the Solus editions of the rival instrument due to none compatibility.

Rock Band 1 yes - but they are compatible with Rock Band 2 on the Wii.

are you saying that a guitar bought for WII can only be played on a Wii

will guitar hero instruments work with Wii also

All in all if you take onto account the incompatability of the Wii games that deosnt really bring a bearing on wether or not this is a hot deal!
I have just ordered this on amazon for three pound more without the free bass (which I've read somewhere is not actually a bass but just an extra guitar.) and paid postage. so on seeing this I was able to cancel the amazon order and save money while getting an extra controller, which in anyones book must be a hot deal!

Thanks for the post. Heat added.

No but its a good warning tip to those that are unaware of the compatibility issues, there are bargains on here and there are useful criticisms, do you feel my post is inappropriate when I have had rep left for my useful advice?!?!

I have a 360 and a Wii, I bought the 360 version with the extra controller for 3 quid more preordered ar Gamestation for just £3 more than this, I would have been p*ssed if I had ordered the Wii version and found I couldn't play Rock Band with the GHWT instrument kit.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be critical. The compatability issue is a big and important factor to people with multiple systems, I was just saying I had got a hot deal.
That is until it turned up this morning without the extra guitar!
I'm Off to e-mail gamestation to see why not.
