I think that's one of the ideas... looking at it, it certainly will help, even if it doesn't stop 100% off any tiny bits of dried lichen from falling/blowing in

Absolutely gutted at this price. Sorry. :p Voted hot anyways.

being a former window cleaner ( and gutter clearer ) I would say this is a waste of money, lost count of the times ive seen this stuff half hanging out of gutters. And even when its in situ it does not stop moss from getting stuck on the mesh.

In my opinion complete waste of money.

Shame it doesn't come with a free ladder so you can get up there to fit it lol.

Better all the moss getting stuck in the mesh than it clogging up the gutter and the rainwater spilling over, and it getting into the downpipe and maybe blocking that, and then into the underground drainage and blocking that up! Could be expensive to unblock, experienced it. All for the sake of £1.99.....

So instead the moss will grow on top of the gutter so no rain will actually flow into it at all? :?

Looking at this, it's probably only really useful if you have trees overhanging your gutters to prevent leaves building up.
#12
It would take years for that to happen, whereas it would block a drain in hours and is more expensive to clear. It's cheaper to fit these and take 5 minutes to check them once a year. :x

I would still avoid it like the plague, however well fitted these were leaves and moss still got in.

Yes its better than having a downpipe cleared at the bottom but in my experience the "swan neck" where the gutter joins the downpipe usually blocks before the bottom and any honest window cleaner can take this piece off and shake out the blockage. I know ive done it 100s of times.

Still this good price for waste of money :whistling:
