I know this doesn't have widespread appeal, but hopefully it's helpful for people in the Leicestershire area.

Habitat in Leicester are closing down, and there's 50% off everything in store! I looked today, and there were some bargains to be had.

The store is on High Street (just opposite the entrance to the Highcross next to House of Fraser).

No further discounts apply, ends 05.05.2009.

There is a £5 off £25 spend voucher for habitat also i think.

The signs in store said that no further promos apply, so not sure if the £5/£25 voucher would apply?

Interestingly it's owned by Ikano, which is a company founded by the founders of IKEA - so really it's just IKEA with style! :p

Mr Ikea (real name Ingvar Kamprad) bought Habitat in the early 90's and gave control to his three sons with a view to ging control of Ikea to whichever son made the the biggest impression on Habitat. Great dad eh! ?! Getting his children to compete with each other!

I like Habitat and this is a great offer if you live nearby. Probably doesn't apply to orderable items though (or I'd be up there buying another bed). Ikea is good to a certain degree but it's probably a bit too common (as in popular). I think furniture retail hasn't been the same since since Courts closed down! lol

I'll be popping in at lunch, thanks.
