poor reviews for this Whisky are based on the launch price of around £37. I've not tried it but at £15 that's cheap enough to mix!

Not instore its not and they just told me prices differ from instore to online

That's a lie... Just came back from Harrogate store - plenty on the shelves priced at £15

It was never worth the original price, celebrity endorsed rubbish. £15 for 70cl is more like it for a mixer

£40 per bottle lol

Thought it was a new aftershave the wife had bought me because it was downstairs on my chest of drawers (turns out it was a gift but for her dad) , I put it on and went off to work. Got a disciplinary and put on a special work program for drink/drugs in the workplace :(

This is the clubman version a down grade from the one in the photo (If that is possible) :D

Think folks are getting confused between Haig Club, which has been out for a few years, and Haig Club Clubman, which came out last month. This is the latter - a cheaper expression that in most reviews I've seen is favoured over its more expensive sibling.

Oh if this is a budget version of an already terrible drink then I would probably give it a miss, even at £15

I tried the original Haig Club simply because I saw David Beckham advertising it, that's the honest truth. I drink beer and wine but am not a massive spirits drinker, therefore they hit the nail on the head with the marketing and advertising...it's connecting the dots and making whisky fashionable and accessible. I have no doubt there are a lot better whiskies out there, but I'm not trying to find the best whisky, I just want something I enjoy drinking. On that basis this is a success. I'm sure the main people who criticise it are those who know whisky or take pride in selecting the right year, brand and taste. For them this is the McDonald's of the whisky world, as people can simply pick up without much thought process...so there is an element of snobbishness involved.

Asda in Glasgow had it at 15 quid. Can't go wrong at this price imo.

My local Tesco is still £35 for the 70cl :(
