Lies, games great.

It would be more fair to say that the PS3 version of this game is much, much worse than any other version and that if you have any other system it is probably worth picking this up for that instead, even it it's more expensive.

Please note: the people who made this game hate the PS3. They didn't do the port, which led to sub-optimal coding.

QFT, I'd get the PC or 360 version if you have the option.

It's a great game but there are some annoying flaws with the PS3 version. No surround sound over optical connection (you need HDMI and a suitable amp for 5.1 surround), random crackling sound and seemingly random framerate drops.

It's a testament to the excellence of the game that it still manages to be one of the best FPSes on the PS3 even with those problems.

If you don't have a suitable PC or an Xbox then it's definitely worth a tenner but those with the option would be better to go for one of the other platforms.

No, it's true. EA outsourced the port as they had difficulty putting the game on PS3, I believe. I'd get this on PC, if you can, then 360. PS3 is the worst version by some distance. No bias.

Played both 360 & Ps3 and i can assure you the PS3 version sucks, framerate, glitchy etc

Bought this last year, but have only got round to playing it now. Have experienced both crackling sound and dropped frames but apart from that is there anything else I'm missing out on in terms of gameplay etc as I havent seen it on the xbox \ pc?

Was £5 last week as said.

There are some parts of the game that suffer a frame rate drop, and yes it is the worst version out of pc and 360. But it is still a very good game, a bargain at this price ( I payed the same from play last year) And i had already finished half life 2 on pc. I just got this to play the other episodes. I remember when I bought it Game still had it up for £50! What a cheek. Game very rarely seem to have good or even fair prices. I dont know how they get away with it, you can usually just pop to argos and get the game £10 or more cheaper than game.
