Mate, dont even raise to this person. Totally uncalled for comments, made by someone who's in a Sunday evening "back to work tomorrow" sulk. I think the deal's brilliant.

Personally I don't think there should be firework sales to the general public for a number of reasons.

Firstly the noise irritation everyone complains about.
Secondly a more economic reason, the fireworks for sale to the general public are not up to the same standard and are sold at extortionate prices.
Thirdly, safety, Organised events are far safer.
Lastly, you simply get a much better display for far less cash at an organised event.

However this is my viewpoint, but as far as this deal goes, its a hot one on the savings over the usual extortionate costs, so heat added for that reason alone, regardless.

We had them - but I agree, and you forget the worst of it, my niece had one thrown at her when she was walking home with her friend - it was out of a car as well so you would think they would have more sense! I do think it's a hot deal though - obviously £100 worth for £16 is brill! save them for New years! :)

I tied a Roman Candle to each of the alloys on my Corsa, lit them and then drove around the Morrisons carpark. It was brilliant. Next time I'm going to do it with sparklers though cos one of the Roman Candles blew off and smashed one of my neon blue under lighters. I am not impressed.
#10
Great price if they have any left. Heat from me.

people who buy fireworks should be given an ASBO

You should be jailed for that. Mind you, you did say Corsa so that'll explain it I suppose. Typical chav. (That's the response you wanted, right?)

#16
Ironic.^^^
Moaner.

Moaner.

I'll have a moan then.
#17
Great deal but I am of the opinion as many above. fireworks should be in organised displays only and not for sale to the general public.
#18
ironically bought fireworks from morissons for the 5th., they were crap - almost stopped half way through to take them back - were useless and not worth anywhere near the money paid...
#19
Fireworks from some horrid neighbour burnt a hole in my sons trampoline this year, not impressed,
#20
Hot for me!

Was this across the entire range? What did you get for £16?
#21
I guess cutlery shouldn't be sold to the general public, seeing as they can also be used to harm people....

Good deal, pity there aren't any Morrisons near me, could have done with this for new years.

If the general public were not allowed to buy fireworks, then how else would we be able to send hamsters to the moon?

Lets ban alcohol
Lets ban cars after all they let just about any idiot drive a car and they cause far more accidents than fireworks ever will.

Does banning something REALLY stop the problem? Banning drugs has accomplished LOTS hasn't it ffs.

Do you realise what controls they have on fireworks in NI and they STILL have the same problems there.

Fact is simple people do stuff because they think they can get away with it perhaps if the plod were a bit more conspicuous instead of razzing around in cars well....
#28
great deal but id rather look at frogs wearing party hats instead of setting off some fireworks. heat added.

Thank goodness,i thought it was just me!I bought the "Buy the £40 box and get £45 more free".Got a pack of 6 spectacular looking rockets which when set off shot up but burst as much as a wet fart in a sand storm and the rest of the box were all fountains .Only a couple were any good, the rest lasted about 10 secs and all did about the same thing in the same colours just in different looking boxes. It said on box 25 metres and i thought that would either be height of the rockets or distance to stand clear but was neither. The fountains went no more than 2m high and you could almost stand next to them without injury.

I would NEVER buy fireworks from Morrisons again, total waste of money.

Did anyone manage to find stock? because I didn't. Phoned 6 stores all said no stock but one had "few items" Went their to be told we can not sell it as license expired yesterday. I said fair enough then give it to me for free:p I asked to speak to the manger to see if I get any compensation for the disappointment. The manager said we are in License but we are sold out:w00t:
I replied but I have been told by 3 of your staff that you have "only few items left at the back". SHe said they have been sold since your phone call (15 minutes earlier) and people are coming later today to collect them.:x I said this is a lie and I am taking this up with the regional manager. I then phoned customer services and filed a complaint with demand of written response.

Really cant stand the chavs who are not happy with 1 day they have to let fireworks off for weeks on end before and after the event , also working classes who claim to not have much , go out and manage to buy boxes of the stuff....then do anti social behaviour for hours ,also put your house to risk of fire cause half of the brain dead idiots dont know how to use them

You also have idiot shops selling to kids who are clearly not 18 , who then go put them through old grannies letters boxes or tie them to cats.....oh wot fun for the chavs of today
