Half price BE There broadband for one year on one year contract until 15 October £8.50

MadeDixonsCryMadeDixonsCry

One of the best ISPs with regards to service and stability.

I've been with them for a while and always get my advertised speed.

Also they have a promotion where if a current user invites you you get an extra £40 credit on your account! Cheaper Internets

**NO REFERRAL LINKS PLEASE!**
(I think that's what the rules state somewhere).

BE do not traffic shape but I think they are doing this offer due to so many people leaving for Fibre, which Be have failed to provide. They do however give some amazing speeds if you a relatively close to an exchange, and do not let you purchase if you are too far from an exchange for them to provide a reasonable service.

They have a fair usage policy which is not detailed but users in the forums state they regularly go over 300 GBs weekly with no issues. I think the fair usage policy is there to stop spam emails.

Obviously you need a landline but if you don't need one then they provide a basic landline for £10 a month.

be warned they have had some bad reviews, so before even looking at this deal i would advise you to research this company (it is owned by o2 now) and look at reviews.

    also plusnet is cheaper

Any links for these bad reviews - have never had a problem with them

No Fibre as with any Telefonica UK company as you have said, so not for me and I'm paying twice as much for 80MB

Been with them for years, I pay £12 for 24mb, which is funny considering how expensive they have become.

Great service - have always recommended them to friends. They got bought out by o2 about 3 years ago but nothing has changed in regards to the quality of the service you get with them

yeah excellent from two months my friend is fighting to increase speed from 0,3Mb/s to this what he pays 6Mb/s , their CS say they see 6Mb/s and he even send him two new routers and he spoke with one of support team member which after two days helped for one week to about 3Mb/s and back to 0,3Mb/s

Prob wrong, but i thought they just used o2's infrastructure, but not owned by them? Like a virtual provider.

Any been with them around 4-5 years and never have had a reason to complain. Always connected at 20+Mb and have downloaded more than you can imagine in some weeks and no throttling or changes to service (mame sets, and multiple chd version sets, etc = hundreds of Gb)

Yeah, plusnet has a 10gb download limit too

I could happily do that in a day.

Been with them since 2005 and very happy with the service.

I'm with them and I'm very happy. I'm not sure I'd tie myself into a year contract though. I'd expect a lot more places to get fibre in the meantime. I'd hate to be locked into a contract for 24mbit when the neighbours have 80mbit...

Prob a stupid question but is this for new customers only? Been with be for 4 years only problem I've had is a corroded bt line fault, which be got sorted with a SFI engineer visit, so I can recommend them

I've been with them the last three years and had no problems at all. If you are already on a 12 month contract with them, it is worth contacting them towards the end, to say that you have seen a better deal elsewhere, as they usually will reduce the price if you agree to continue with them.

They have had plenty of issues lately with routing problems but generally they are quite a good ISP.

I used to rave about them but these days I'd just rate them as "good"

Not sure if the half price package gives you a static IP but it's a bonus if it does.

Despite the recent issues, I'm not in any hurry to move - I'll stay with them until either their service deteriorates or FTTC with a fixed IP arrives here with a reasonable price.

The issues they have are normally not routing but DNS, I would suggest using opendns on your router.
