Been meaning to try out some of the ecoeggs and I noticed they only did a half price offer around december last year ...

p&p at £2.99 so makes sense if you are trying out more than one product.. price i've mentioned on deal is for the cheapest ecoegg ie. 54 washes though the 720 washes would be best value (supposed to last 3 years at 3p per wash at normal price)

just apply coupon 'tellafriend' on the checkout page... expires midnight . Sorry about the short notice - I just found out an hour ago through their fb page

will upload a snapshot of the products I bought after checking their reviews on amazon...

I am not totally convinced myself but this seems like a good price to test it . I've tried eBay too but with p&p they always end up costing more than this.
going by amazon reviews it seems to work for a lot of people .

yes looks like they did not extend it .. its was on for 24 hours only. If anyone is interested, worth waiting till boxing day when I think they might do a 25% off . They also offer discount during real nappy week (sometime between march-may). Not sure when do another 50% though - worth checking on fb about it..

and holland & barett is doing a buy 1 get 1 half price on ecoegg atm

I use them and I find they work

What is in these? I tried to find some info but could only find sponsored reviews and anecdotes from mums. It just looks like a more advanced laundry balls scam

they have been around for a while and seems to be a company who invests in their research - not one of those scamming ones .. (all google info only - so verify for yourself) some reviews mention that they are a bit vague about the components that go into their products though....

Hopefully some hukd members (me included) can offer their reviews next time someone posts a deal on ecoeggs..

I've read all sorts about laundry balls and soap nuts (in fact one HUKDer got quite miffed with me when I posted pros and cons on one thread - and even moaned on a few of my threads into the bargain!!) - curious about them but they always seem to do badly where stains (like jam, mud, blood etc) are concerned.

Apparently if you wash with water only some of the agitation, spinning (even detergent residue) will help get clothes *quite* clean anyway - but I haven't read anything definitive that doesn't whiff of a paid-for review with these wonder products. I like to read neutral opinions.

Let's face it, if they were really that wonderful we'd all use them!

By the way, I am happy to be proven wrong!

yes i too read some reviews on the 'not very effective at getting the stubborn stains out' bit and bought the stain remover to cover me should the same happen :) ...

The one fact that got me thinking are the reviews on fb from mums who use real nappies (cloth) and a vast majority seem to be happy with them . I would think that getting out a babies' nappy smelling fresh would be an ultimate test of a detergent...

I am still pretty much 'on the fence' still - not totally convinced but still tempted to give it a go..
