at that price I'll buy 5 and have it for lunch everyday at work, to make the others think that Ive had a payrise just to cause an upset.
but then theres a big chance of allergy when eating too much seafood and antihistamine tablets are quite expensive unless there's an offer for those too on Hotukdeals:-))

ASDA have some at £3. I guess it depends how big they are and what they taste like as to which is the better value.

Aren't you supposed to boil them alive?

theres different ways of killing them conventional western method is to boiling them alive and they scream.
or I heard that the oriental method is to stick a chopstick up their backside to kill them. ggruesome deaths either way. (shudders at the thought of dying by chopstick)

The ones in Asda are already cooked then frozen. I didn't notice on the pack as to the manner in which they were killed.

these will be microscopic but a delicacy none the less

don't bother, these will only dissapoint,
hardly any meat, really dry and flavourless, really fiddly and annoying,

good price but, not good product.

Totally agree, they will be small cheaply imported farmed lobsters, get live local lobsters from a fishmongers (if you have one near you) or freshly cooked from a fishmongers/fish counter if your squeamish. They are easy to cook and no they do not scream lol.

cheap for a reason, it's processed fish meat. cheap and nasty

That trick is for releasing the urine from the Spiny lobster.

if anyone with a chopstick came at me with that intent, I would soon oblige, whether said chopstick was inserted or otherwise :?

quality etc aside - can anyone recommend a serving suggestion / recipe for lobster? Apart from sover it with melted butter and chives
#18
My fav way is using the cantonese method. Ginger and spring onion, but you need to google the recipe as its kinda big.

Very poor flavour, and so small there's little meat to be had,

These lobsters should have been left in the sea to get bigger!

The ones for £5 at Lidl last year were great for the money. The best way is to bbq them. Prepare. Split lobster in half. Take out the funky looking gunk. Clean. Coat with a nice favoursome oil previously prepared with some garlic etc. Pierce with a knife the claws. And place them on a medium heat of a bbq SHELL DOWN. Important.

So good its crazy.

btw Im a chav on benefits, probably breaking antifire procedures in my block :-D
