Ooooh!! STOP! You lot are really making me laugh so much! That is just sooo funny.....

If only I could jump that high - imagine the fun I would have with a bird stuffed under one paw, and the other to knock for assistance!

The look on their faces would be priceless!

No wonder they always leave the thing in the locked position when that dam dog next door comes to visit!!:p

Modchips for cats? Let me register a suitable domain name for that right now! :-D
#23
Not as daft as you think, some guy chipped his arm a while back which allowed entry into his heavily automated house :).

About time the technology arrived for Joe Bloggs (i.e us)!.

Yes there is, or to be precise there is a man looking for funding so as to bring a microchip version to market. I saw something on TV the other day about the credit crunch and new start-ups trying to get funding. Any hot dealers out there with a hundred thousand or so to spare:whistling: I’m out I’ve spent all my money here:oops:

Same here - A flat cap to help you see in the dark - my kind of cap

Need to get a few collars tho - cat had four kittens last week!
LOL - Heat added

Could really do with one of these - my kitty is just so soft she lets any cat in through our old catflap - they then proceed to eat all her food, bed down on the spare bed and one even ******* on the floor - ingratitude or what??
#32
Tempted by this but as my cats have not worn collars (chipped instead) i have a feeling they would claw me to death if i tried putting one on them now.
#33
It's a good deal (heat added) but I have doubts about how good the product is. I have a similar Staywell catflap that uses magnets (hilarious when the cats attach themselves to the fridge door or run around the house with a fork hanging from their collar), which has the advantage that the batteries can't run out but the disadvantage that any cat carrying a large magent can get in (ome of those bells work).

However, one of my neighbour's cats comes in whenever he likes without a magnet - he just gives the catflap a good shove with his thick skull and it bends enough to let him in. Staywell say if he breaks it they'll replace/repair it under guarantee, but they don't guarantee that it'll actually work and keep your neighbours cats out!

If anybody has used a Pet-Porte (the one that reads microchips) I'd be interested to hear how good it is - I'm not paying £100 for another catflap that doesn't work!

She'll still let them in - a friend had a cat who used to sit next to the flap with her collar tag on to keep it open and let other cats in!

I've also seen a cat taunt dogs by moving backwards and forwards beside the flap, clicking it on and off: "come in... oh no it's locked again!"
#35
Gotta love cat flaps, however i just use the front door.
#36
Oh Dear Lord!!

I dunno - it must be my innane sense of humour - but I just can't stop laughing at these comments!!

:-)

I have one of theses. Works fine until the transmitters fail. They just don't seem to be able to handle the abuse they get on the cat's collar and never lasted more than a few months. Got some cheap(ish) replacements on eBay, but still expensive to run! However, if you do have a problem with unwanted visitors this is a GREAT price.
