Is this 1080p?
#15
Just picked one of these up - hopefully keep the little one quiet on holiday. Been looking for a portable DVD player and it never occurred to me to look in Toys 'r us. Great price. Same as the no name brands in Argos. Cheapest I could this elsewhere was Amazon who had it for about £80.

Is this 1080p?

yes with a 5.1 speaker setup :giggle:

You have to be joking - You won't get 1080p on a 7" screen of any type. Even a Acer Aspire Netbook (which I use in the car for the kids) which has a higher resolution is only 1024 X 600. Note: 600p is the resolution, as the pixel rating is always the latter figure. Hope this helps!:w00t:

1080P...Some people want everything for under £50.00 dont they. 1080P wouldnt make the slightest bit of difference anyway to picture quality as screen is only 7 inch.

why has this been expired? It was available in-store last night!

Jeez, so it's not even 720p?! Cold as ice. Everyone needs full HD these days, don't you know? 1080p is the only way to view......

Got one today in Watford - 16 left in stock!

super hot deal - the player looks awesome, plays old video cds from abroad that don't ever play on my upscaling samsung dvd player or almost any other player i've tried them on, and a multiregion hack is also available online..

one qn - what's the difference between this PET716 model and the PET721 available from Argos for £79.99?

:thumbsup:Hot - Just come back from hols so missed this first time round. Identified we need a portable DVD and saw this. Thinking we missed the boat and rang our local ToysRus and they had a second batch of 25 in. So popped to get one where BTW they are now doing the same model with an external second screen for £150. The guy who works there commented "why would anyone pay £150 for one player and two screens when you can get two players for £50 less" Too true me thinks - anyway, brought it home and charged it up chucked in a very old DIVX on an old purple DVD-r thinking if it plays this it will play anything, and it did, perfectly.
Not too sure if i can bump this back up as they are back in stores but not online - mods?
Thanks to RFC for the heads up.
#32
is this a good one , bben looking at lots on e bay , but i would rather get one to last ??
#33
yep - for the money spot on - get it from ToysRus and you do get the added "take it back if there's a problem" guarantee.
#34
6 boxes on display in Cardiff bay ( I think they keep stock in store room so could be more). Bought a couple 2 weeks ago and they are nice machines.
