Steer clear. My son has the 24" version and at £85 it's a rip-off. Quality of everything is poor. He can't change the gears because the changer is so stiff. Brakes either rub or don't work, it weighs about twice what my bike does - and that was hardly an expensive bike.

Black steel frame. :whistling:

This combined with dual suspension will get you fit in no time, lol.

No it's not!

If you want a cheap bike get a rigid framed one; it'll be lighter and much easier to ride. Rear suspension is only necessary for travelling extremely fast down very steep, rough hills. The frame on this wouldn't survive that (and you might not either). All the suspension is doing is adding to the weight and absorbing all your energy when you pedal (if you want comfort get a padded saddle, not rear-suspension).

10 seconds on Google is enough to find a hard-tailed bike for the same price which would be a better buy:

I'm sure there are dozens of others too.

This is so true! Even a second hand hardtail for this sort of money would be a far better purchase!

I hope you're right - I really do.

But bear in mind that I don't have an axe to grind - just actual experience of buying one.
