is it just this month or every month until you decide to stop?

edit: never mind it must be just this month
#2
You can buy two and queue one for the next month, so buying two , both at half price if that helps.

Can we use GiffGaff to get O2 broadband discount?

Nope.

Can you keep your number if you're with O2?

I can confirm this too, the £5 goodybag can be bought using the inital £10 top up however.

Does anyone know if the goodybags call credit can be used for voicemail, or if that still comes off your credit?
#18
I got the answer on their forum - although it was not the easiest to find.

VM is takes 1 min from goodybags with minutes - regardless of how long the call.

With unlimited calls - it makes no difference.

With the text only goodybag, it still comes out your credit.

Its also worth adding you get a free £5 if someone refers you - and the minimum top up is £10 which you MUST do to activate your sim. So effectively a £10 top up gets you 2 months with unlimited texts internet and 300 mins a month, and a £30 top up gets you two months with unlimited texts net and calls. (as in the same you can buy one for this month - and one in advance)

Nice one Ibiza - good summary, this deal should be hotter imo :P

This may sound like a slightly dumb question but what exactly is this?

Is it like a Sim only contract or something?
#22
My only problem with this apart from it being a short term promotion is the fact that you have to spend the money you top up which means if I want to enter the gadget show competition - I can't.
#23
There's another good deal here from giffgaff... with their free internet until October, all you have to do is top up £10 to get started, and then just use it as PAYG with free internet. Perfect for those who don't really use many texts and calls on the phone.
#24
Would an O2 Iphone need unlocking to use GG?

Its a PAYG virtual network that runs on o2 network, but they offer goodybags, which is like "bolt-ons" that you can choose with gives you a bundle of minutes and text. There's no obligation to sign up for bolt ons for more than a month.
#26
So is it generally a better deal than a rolling month Sim only contract with O2 directly then?
#27
Very cheap deal

Well different as it's pay as you go and not contract.

It's a great deal if you have kids that will be out and about over the summer. Activate your sim with a £10 topup and buy 2 half price goody bags. This will give them 100 min a month, unlimited texts and internet and calls between giffgaff. Not bad for a little freedom for them and peace of mind for you. :)

I don't see why it would need unlocking as giffgaff run off o2.
#30
Great deal i use GG and the deal just now for £5 100 mins any network / unlimited txt / unlimited internet and you can buy 2 goodybags one will start after first one runs out even if promotion has finished.

also remember free calls to other GG users and 0800 numbers are free

Giffgaff is a good deal, but one small word of warning. There is no customer support and this may not matter to most, it is all via a self help forum. I have had trouble trying to get my smart phone to send MMS and still have not found a solution.

Not true, it's just that they don't have call centres and stop working around 6pm. They definitely have customer support online you just have to fill in a form and submit. Usually you get a response within 1-2 hours. Under the support page there should be an option to contact an agent, so try that if forum members can't help you.

You can buy a current goody bag and one in advance. £10 is needed to activate your sim and can be used for goody bags or as PAYG credit at giffgaffs great rates.

No micro sims but you can trim a standard one down with a craft blade or use a micro sim cutter (get from ebay).
#38
I can confirm that you can activate your sim and buy a half price goody bag for £5. Calls and texts as cheap as ASDA but with ffree stuff. The goody bag expires after one month but you can add credit as and when. And as someone else pointed out, free internet till October.
#39
can you please tell me-is that unlimited calls to any network or just giffgaff calls

Both - unlimited to any UK networks for a month and unlimited giffgaff to giffgaff minutes for 3 months.
