What’s wrong with having a gadget do it for you, saves the butler doing it and he can press the newspaper and tell cook to put the toast on, I cant abide cold toast:whistling::p

Indeed; isn't the power of marketing amazing :) I'd love to think up a business idea that can extract money from gullible people to this extent. Can you believe there are people who may actually have paid full price for this thing :-D

What's right with a normal toothbrush ?? , I'v had the forerunner to this brush (sonic complete) for over 2 years now ,it's brilliant ,all the plake's gone & you would'nt bellive how clean your teeth are!! mind you it still it dosent make the tea properly
#11
Good price, but nowhere with in about 200 miles of me has any in stock!!!

Typical Ar'goose....

Whats wrong with a normal brush , unless your teeth are rotten why do you need an electric one.....i thought electric brushes do more harm then good .e.g wearing your enamel away?
#13
If you do a price promise at currys it's £62.98
#14
No stock near Southampton.

I got this last year for my wife as a christmas present. At the time with boots offers, codes and points I'm sure it worked out at just less than £50. I'm sure that nearer christmas this will be on offer again

I must admit when I saw this on the Gadget Show the other day, the idea of having a bluetooth display for a toothbrush struck me as being completely bonkers!
#17
I can't imagine anyone who has used an electric toothbrush wanting to go back to a normal toothbrush. Even with cheap ones the difference is massive.
#18
Only hot if you have £70 burning a hole in your pocket. There is nothing wrong with just using a normal toothbrush...
#19
Is there any difference (apart from the rather silly bluetooth connected display) between this one and the 9500? And are the replacement brushes really £10 or so for two?

AFAIK it is the same toothbrush just without the bluetooth display. At full price is obviously cheaper, however with the current offers it works out cheaper to get it with the bluetooth display (daft i know)

Great timing, our old Oral B has finally died today (had it about 10 years). Just ordered this one from www.chemistdirect.co.uk . Not bothered by the bluetooth screen bit but at this price it's cheaper than the model without the screen.

I'm all for electric toothbrushes, didn't used to be but since I got braces I couldn't do without mine, not a sonic one though but this deal is very tempting! When I was looking nearly a year ago all the sonic ones were well over £100, so just went for a normal one. My orthodontist said that the damage to the enamel comes from over brushing, with any toothbrush, normal or electric, and pressing too hard, which also applies no normal and electric toothbrushes. Good deal!

Does anyone who has one of these know if the rechargeable batteries are standard replaceable ones please? I've been caught before with an expensive toothbrush that's packed up just because the batteries have failed.

By the way, it now seems to be impossible to find one of these at Argos anywhere.

If you can't find one at Argos, Amazon now have them at £69.99:

I have an older model but am pretty certain it's the same. They are a sealed unit, you can't replace the rechargeable batteries when they finally die. I did have my old one about 10 years before it died though, so it's not a major flaw.
