Wife went to the WGC yesterday.. Other good deals in store... 4 cans john west tuna £1.99, 4 can crosse & blackwell beans £1, 6 cans pepsi £1, Lynx shower gel £1.... and a few more, definately worth popping in!

13 hours since this was posted and not ONE predictable comment yet about how poor Lidl (or Aldi or Netto) fruit & veg is, or how they don't keep!

That's GOT to be a record!

Very cheap but they never have anything left by the time I get there, at least not yesterday (got the beans and celery I think). I think they only put a few cans of tuna out each day so they go really early.

I didn't notice the red peppers for 25p though, quite annoyed about that.

Is that right image for Lidl?

Ugh! This celery dis disgusting! It must be REJECTED celery.
I always buy my celery at LIDL, but this is stained a sort of rust colour at the bottom of each stem as if it was watered with some red dye, and it tastes like chemicals. It is unpalatable.
I think they overdid some fertiliser or similar where they grow it.
