I bought the 10W-40 @ £19.99 - should be £24.99 - would have been even better if I'd have put it through quidco & collected in store.

EDIT: Sorry thought it beat the Asda offer but I got my math wrong (doh!)

Was the ASDA offer not £5 for 2L?
But I do think it was Petrol engines only

ASDA THREAD

But finding any in stock still at an ASDA now that would be a challenge ;-)

EDIT: Sorry forgot to add... Didn't vote cold nor hot

Indeed you are quite right - looks like I balls it up but at least this offer is pretty much across the range.

Ahh well :whistling:

Good find, voted hot. At this price you can't grumble. The 2 litre 10w-40 at asda is now £13.99. Even sainsburys sells the 4 litre at £22.50. Tesco used to sell this at £19.99 but they have stopped selling this version. Most other supermarkets don't sell this version due to the price.

I recently had an oil change there , it was a disaster even though the oil was changed eventually . They state that they need 3 days lead in to get the parts ready , it's only an oil filter needed as the oil is already there . I was quoted 30 mins, 90 mins later it was done , they had to find an oil filter as they never had one there ready !

The annoying thing though was that even though it was booked online , credit card details were taken , I was told I needed to pay on the day over the counter by the branch manager . This I did & received the invoice but a niggling little thought occured to me to check my bank account . When I got home I noticed that they had taken the payment via credit card as well , double charged !!

Anyway 7 days later I'm still awaiting my refund on the CC so check or DO NOT pay on the day at the branch .

Can't argue with the prices though , £24.30 drained & filled without getting dirty .

Castrol Magnatec is £22.39 for 4L of 5W/30 at Halfords so for an extra £2.01 you get more than 4L of oil filled , 4.3 litres in my case , drained & disposed of at National . This also includes a new oil filter & no dirty hands , a no brainer I would say .

Avoid going to national tyres to get the Oil and Oil filter changed. They use the cheapest oil filters known to man. Do it yourself is the way to go. The Oil filters they use cost less than £2.00 to buy. Also they have T&C depending on your car specs. So the above prices are not correct for all cars.

90 mins to do oil change? what the heck? It should take 30 mins at max. All they do is remove a nut underneath the car and unscrew the oil-filter. If you can open a Glass ketchup bottle then you can open a Oil filter.

If you read the post properly it took 90 mins because they never had the oil filter in at the time .

The oil filter used on my car was a Champion , at the end of the day it doesn't matter what oil filter they use as long as it has a non - return valve .

You dont get quidco on collect at store purchases do you? Thought it was only online purchases?
