Makes me laugh all these products that have the word "professional" before the product name .... this is the extra step "ADVANCED PROFESSIONAL"

erm... no, not for £14.99 there not.

Lifetime guarantee on these though. The Halfords advanced stuff is very decent quality. Heat added.

I picked these up a while ago and managed to get them for £10. Good set of screwdrivers but I've noticed that 2 of the pozidriv heads have started to weaken and basically become soft so they just spin in the screws Still have the receipt, so I'm guessing they'll just do a swap

Don't even need a receipt, take them both back and they will replace them. I've done this many times and encountered no issues yet

Buy cheap, buy twice. Nothing worse than screwdrivers that loose threads and bend. And it's hardly an advantage that they have a guarantee, if I want to do any work I'd have to plan in trips for replacements between screws.

Stanley stuff is fine. Stick with that.

Stanley stuff is inferior compared to these - these are way better. Halfords advanced range is almost on par with Snap On.

A few more good jokes like that and you have your own show!

Stanley went to crop years ago...

Are these better than the kit in ikea :)

"I've never used these screwdrivers but they're cheap so must be rubbish. On the other hand, I've got some screwdrivers that were made years ago in Britain before the brand was sold for use on some cheap shoddy Chinese stuff, so I'll recommend that people pay twice the price for that instead".

I've got these screwdrivers. They're certainly not on a par with Snapon (which I also have) but they're more than decent for the price. My main gripe is that the cross-head are Pozidrive rather than Philips, but that just depends what you want them for. For woodworking (rather than engineering) that's not an issue.

You gets what you pays for.....these will never be as good as "Snap On".... there not meant to be
But as everyday round the house, garden, DIY workshop... these will do a good enough job ;)

Halfords Pro stuff is made by Teng or someone similar isn't it? The pro spanners etc are I think and they are amazing, I rebuilt a full car with a set of those!

These are OK, had them for years and they do a decent job. Not amazing, they do start to wear quickly but much better than the crap at Screwfix like "Forge Steel" or B&Q Pro Power range etc.
#19
was looking for some quality drivers. thanks OP
#20
got a set of these. they are well made and good to use.Ive been through enough screwdrivers to know cheap stuff from good ones and whilst these might not be wera (really good), they are well worth a tenner.heat added

These are 'ok', however regularly given away with every 5 litres of oil purchased, so i wouldn't buy them, although i have had them free multiple times.
#23
You can get extra discount if your part of the trade, ie a mechanic. You can apply for a trade card and get up to 30% of on selected items, spanners, oil, batteries, etc well worth checking out.

It's always the same when it comes to discussing tools on here, it's not like they're closely matched in price so you cannot make reasonable comparisons!

We bought a set of Halfords Professional 20 years ago and they're still going strong, we don't pay the trade as its all diy for the home and the cars so they've been well used.

I don't know if they're as good now but £10 for a set 8 with a lifetime warranty is a pretty good deal to say the least.

I find that bahco gear is better qualit and lasts longer than snap on stuff
#29
Mine are poor. They don't fit the screw head at all.
#30
I got a set of these free with oil on a promotion and love mine. Handle feels nice to use and not had fitment issues or anything like that. Heat added

Different screwdriver maybe?? ;)
#32
These are actually made by snap on. Hence the replacement bit.
#33
Decent quality set, wouldn't pay anymore than this though. it's this price all the time anyway.
#34
£10 for a set of 8 everlasting screwdrivers!!!
#35

Wera are good, but I don't find they last much longer than any other decent screwdriver. I always buy Wera for Ph2 since that'll get the most battering, but I still need a new one every 6-8 months.

My tip for really good cheap screwdrivers is Wickes strike-through. Excellent, even if you don't ever strike 'em!

:D

Hubby has has these for years. Love them!

Overpriced set of average screwdrivers.

Had this set for four years and use at work nearly every day and still going strong, so if they are average how long would a quality set last as this are still going strong after 4 years!!
