I prefer Autoglym for polishes and waxes/sealants.

I find Autoglym car wash to be awful. Meguiars on the other hand is fantastic, for 'off the shelf' products atleast.

can somebody advice on good shampoo to clean car inside? not leather

I just polished my car tonight with autogym very easy stuff to take off and leaves a lovely shine

Tempted to get some more from Halfords, last autogym I got from Boyes store last summer on offer
#11
dont waste money on Meguiars Scratch X (I got v2 last year) didnt even hide scratches in my car metallic paintwork and they were only fine marks
#12
this in store or online only?

will reserve just in case
#13
What's the best car shampoo to get then?

can somebody advice on good shampoo to clean car inside? not leather

.
Use some cheapo all purpose cleaner "APC" from the supermarket and dilute to about 10% - works on dash plastic and vinyl
#15
ordered will collect tomorrow, should keep me going til I get a new motor later in the year
#16
thanks op

Good deal. Can recommend the Meguiars Smooth Surface Clay kit. :)

I am tempted by this. What are the results like compared to to just polishing and waxing, and how easy is it to use?
#19
Id recommend bilthamber clay - its the old one you can use plain old water as a the lube and it only costs about £9 - like all clays - it takes a lot of work
#20
What would these products be like cleaning a carbon bike? Could they cause damage?

Hi all, seeing as though this post is related to car cleaning I was wondering if I could get some help... I've got some car shampoo solution (mixed with water) onto my car seat! And its left a slightly dark stain on the seat where it went... How can I remove this? It was a Carplan Shampoo if that helps?

Btw great deal Op! H+R

This is another vote for Meguiars.

Last weekend i took my 15 year old black FTO and used meguiars 3 stage process (well kind of 4)
Clayed (not too much of a hard job, but WELL WORTH it)
Paint Cleaner (stage 1) ( applied with a multi directional buffer, took off by hand)
Skipped Stage 2
Carnauba Wax (stage 3) ( applied with a multi directional buffer, took off by hand)

The results where out of this world, considering the age of the car!

There are different clays which vary in 'aggression'. One of the best all rounders is http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/detailing-clay/sonus-ultra-fine-clay-refill/prod_327.html used with http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/detailing-clay/dodo-juice-born-slippy-500ml/prod_560.html as a superb lubricant. [though buy the same amount of concentrate for about twice the price as it is diluted up to 10:1 for usage, so makes 5 litres! http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/detailing-clay/dodo-juice-born-slippy-concentrate-500ml/prod_594.html]

IMHO Claying a car is a MUST before polishing any car. Follow it up with a good paint cleanser prior to waxing for best results e.g. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/dodo-juice/dodo-juice-lime-prime-250ml/prod_441.html

Reserve online for 3% Quidco.

Or 4.5% Quidco if you register a card (with Quidco) and use the card in Halfords to pay.
#36
sites down but Autoglym Shampoo (also do pressure wash tub), Super Resin Polish if needed followed by the High Definition wax (£22 on ebay).
#37
Great deal.... pitty I have just spent a **** fortune on their long running 3 for 2
#38
Picked up 2x 1L Super Resin Polish for £15.99. Cheers OP, this much wax will probably last me out!!
#39
Cheers for the tip... Not sure if its been mentioned already but it looked like it was the cheapest free, makes sense to do separate transactions of the expensive things coupled together for anyone who doesn't see how they may lose out on the basis of their promo terms.

Got a couple of the AutoGlym valet wash kit things for 12.50 each. Mix of 4 products and sponges/rags etc.
#40
it will be more expensive that way...i tried it..my order came up to £47, but when i tried to do multiple orders combining expensive and cheap items the cost was over £52
