good price - bought 2 of these last year for mine and husbands cars, think we paid about £70 each, only thing I would say is recline doesn't work particularly well, we usually have to take son out of seat to recline it

A truly awful seat which is normally sold around this price.

This is a con! It is not a good price at all. These are the renamed 'freeways' which were often only £40-45. I have had 2 in recent years, as spares, they are not very comfortable. You are much better off getting a 'really' good deal on a decent carseat.

Any chance of providing details of why it's so awful as it gets glowing praise from loads of different places like Mumsnet, Kiddicare and Amazon? Might help people make an informed decision...

Halfords are extremely slow Quidco payers. So don't let the Quidco be an extra incentive.

Well 1 of mine was replaced free of charge by Britax after a well known issue with a plastic bump caused bruising to my daughters back. They sent me an Eclipse. Having had 3 eclipse's I fully recommend them. Fantastic car seats and very comfy. The Freeway/Prince is a really poor version. Not well padded and a rubbish recline mechanism. We also have an Evolva 1,2,3 (I think renamed due to it's terrible name!) which I got for @£74. Another fantastic Britax, but quite havy. Not the recline feature of Eclipse, but a very sturdy, comfy supportive seat, that fits my 18 month old well. We also have a First class, which I got from Mothercare for £79, 6 months ago. I used this to keep my little one rear facing for longer. A great seat.
So I have had lots of Britax seats and always get a bargain. This Prince is not a bargain, it's a fake half price and is not very comfy, and considering how many hours your kids will spend in it, there are a lot better out there.

I have this in the Britax Prince Child Car Seat Elisa it seems fine, DS seems happy and comfortable in it aswell.

I didn't have many car seats to choose from as I have an older car so I was limited. This seat fits perfect and has all the safey elements required, It had really good reviews which helped me buy it.

I have it sat in the middle as I was told that this is the safest place for any car seat.

I have this car seat and its ok, to be honest £50 is an alright price for a car seat but if your looking for something your little one will spend quite a bit of time in the i would avoid, there isnt much padding andthe recline needs to be done before strapping it in which can be a pain if you little one is young still.
polysterene is not sturdy and we actually managed to dislodge ours on the side of the car seat!
we have a graco one too and its much better, if this is going to be your main car seat then i would spend a bit more and get a better version, but for light use like we use ours then i would say they are fine
