A genuine reduction from the store all the bike enthusiasts love to hate!

This is Halfords' own brand High Mount carrier - the kind that avoids the need for a lighting board on most cars. Takes up to 3 bikes, 45Kg max. Universal fitting for most cars, estates, SUVs, etc.

I saw these last year at £99.99. There was a big pile of them in the Redditch store this week and appear to be available on line and for ring and reserve too.

Customer reviews seem OK. I've looked around and the going rate for this kind of thing does seem to be in the £80 - £100 range.

I'm thinking of getting one while they last - anyone had experience of this item?

I have owned one of these for a few years. It works well.

I wouldn't fancy fitting one to a car that doesn't have a bumper protrusion for the bottom tube to sit on.

Be aware you need to find something under the car at the back to connect the two bottom straps too (towing eye etc)

make sure the straps are tight occasionally if driving long distance.

Don't buy the expensive halfords foam bike protector pads. Cheap lenghts (£1) of pipe foam lagging works just as well.

Only 49.99 when buying a bike, otherwise 89.99
