As everyone on here knows, I run the best kids Halloween pumpkin carving competition on this ere planet every year :P

I've just been into our local Asda (Dundee) and noticed the pumpkin carving set and stencil book (12 cool cut outs) for £1 each :)

The pumpkin competition will once again be on this year and this is the perfect time to grab these utensils and stencils at only £1 each. I have posted a picture of the items that are on sale.

Just noticed, this offer is available online also :)

oo fab!! will get the pumpkin carving set...but the stencils are cheating X) x
#3
The stencils arent cheating, it's being able to carve that's the key :)

Honestly
Can't believe some people are voting this down haha
#4
The kit is fine for small children, bigger kids should be able to handle a knife under supervision.
#5
I'm a big kid and I found the little carving blade much easier to use than any kitchen knife! Looking forward to the competition cos it was fab last year Saxo!

i drew my pic on last year...of a spider and carved it..the kids loved it lol.
will give that a bash again this year...its probably one of those things
that i can do great first time round but can never manage again.

i cant believe people are voting it down, great deal...whats a pound these days :)
x

We'll be using the pumpkins we've grown in our garden this year. They're small so it'll have to be a simple design! Agree a pound is a complete bargain - HOT!
#8
i have to say the stencils are great.i now have pride in my pumpkins! except some **** knicked my pumpkin last year and left £1 in its place :|
#9
..I love halloween! I got a pumpkin shaped tray and cookie cutters when I popped to the teeside store. Both a £1. They have some great things like that.. Didnt notice the stencil book though.

Yes I must say Asda's Halloween aisle is totally amazing, if none of you have been yet please go check it out, before it gets torn apartby screaming kids :)

Anyone know when shops start selling pumpkins?

49p for a set with more tools and a book at homebargains

I would rather buy this in Asda when I'm in for my weekly shopping to be honest, travelling to HomeBargains would cost more than to get to with petrol

hot hot hot... thank u op for this i will have great fun with the children using them stencils :D
dont have a HB near me so thanks for posting as not everyone lives nr one xxx
#22
No probs and thanks :)

There isn't a great difference between this price and the 49p one, just you can pick this up while doing the weekly grocery shop in many of the thousands of local Asda stores throughout the country.

Can't wait to get this competition started again :)

Any time soon I think. I saw a piece on the news yesterday about a bumper pumpkin harvest, so there should be plenty around. They have to polish each one by hand BTW!

Good to see you are running the comp once again.http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii78/chesso_photos/animated%20smilies/hukdthumbsup2.gif

Thanks Chesso, and shall you be entering this year? ;)

I might not enter but I might have some involvement!

Perhaps I'd better get a carving set just in case. :D
