I think you might have gotten Software and hardware mixed up, the 12 months warranty should be on hardware only thats why the serial numbers on hardware are noted i seriously doubt software has 12 months warranty, maybe 30 days being the most on software for defective or purchasing errors

their all different.

if their scratched they pay you less but they end up selling em for the same price as a newish copy.

since its on DVD, its bound to have more scratches then a blu-ray games/movies which are more scratch resistant.

if you go instore then you can check before you buy and ask em to give you another copy.

poor very very poor i ordered 6 games 3 weeks ago and i sent them all back and im still waiting for my refund.cases were very knocked about some were missing instruction booklets and all were scratched and filthy.ile not be using cex again for this reason.

Had the same problem both online and in their stores, never got my refund from the online sale , gave up after twice waiting 20 mins- 30 mins on phone

i can assure you its 30days on dvd's etc well thats the instore policy anyway. If you are wanting this pop along to your local CEX and ask to se the disc's condition before you buy it.

You can also get it spanky new on 'classics' for £12 delivered (Play) - yes it's twice the price but for me personally it's worth paying as I don't go into town often and so would cost me near enough £6 to get to my local CEX and back, excluding my time. If it's no bother for you to get to a CEX then it's definately worth checking out to see if there's a good condition copy for six quid :)

consumables = software eg. games, dvds unless CEX have started selling food or toiletries that i am unaware of

The Manchester arndale store had at least 10 copies on the shelf yesterday, I traded that £1.95 X-men 2 bluray from Tesco in +£2.00 for it since I didn't really want the Bluray anyway and my last copy of Halo 3 got scratched unfortunately.

Had nothing but problems from CEX recently, customer service is a joke for online purchases. Items canceled from orders with several things ordered and no refunds, they kept the money!
Despite contacting several times in the past 3 weeks and only getting one reply, which said in BIG BOLD letters we will sort it soon in a cheeky way, that was nearly two weeks ago. Now they just ignore all contact, i would like a complaint address or email, thats not staffed by the same people at online customer service, the owner needs to know about his staff.

You are always better off using the store than online as I know how the process is organised. Plus instore you can check the disc get a decent copy
