And since when was an Xbox Slim an aging console? oO
Depends purely on the manager of the store I would think. I managed to trade in an Xbox Star Wars console with a basic controller rather than the gold one, but other managers might be more picky on what they accept. :)

Ageing in the sense if you've had one since they came out you might have cosmetic wear and tear (glossy finish prone to it), worn controllers, expired warranty etc
It does come with some minor dlc at least...
