You've made Master Chief proud, that's all that matters.

Its a new trilogy. Halo 1-3, Halo 4-6 :p
Shame on you
Used a friends discount so managed to bag an extra 10% off.
Paid £28.97 for the game and then got the £3.50 in extra clubcard points, plus the 8% quidco still to come.
Bargain.
Fingers crossed it's a decent game, the trailers look pretty good so far.

Yes they are dragging it on but not in a bad way. Successful games carry on being made (look at final fantasy, god of war, mario, zelda etc.) while games that don't sell as well and stagnate tend to die. That's simple business. Now if we look at if the games have quality or they are just chucked out then generally they are actually pretty good compared to most other sequels at adding new content. Compared to Uncharted, God of War etc. which just pump out a new title with better graphics you see much more new features like adding skulls, armour abilities, equipment, forge, match recordings etc. Won't go over the whole list but generally each game had something new at least and that was before looking at how they always fine tune weapons, add vehicles and MP modes (like firefight) etc.
If you're not interested then you're not but short of having a new engine, new campaign, new vehicles, new weapons etc. there's not much they can do without just doing the stupid thing of ruining the franchise by not making it what it is and not what the fans want and have been buying into for so long. Halo 3 added equipment to spice up the gameplay and reach added armour abilities so even some new gameplay elements have been added throughout the series life but it still caters to the original fans (as any sequel should) so doesn't stray too far. The story is now moving on from the covenant and flood and more towards the fore runners too so that sets a new focus on the battles, locales and enemies too. All that's left is that yes it's halo and yes it's still fps, if that's enough to moan about though then Halo Wars should have been a nice detour since it was an RTS and not even an FPS.
do they take payment straight away?

Nice try, but after 6 or so games, I think everyone can rest assured that Halo is just a cash cow. Halo 4 does look good, and 343 studios seem to have taken their own spin on the franchise, but let's not try and kid ourselves; they're making another Halo because there's a substantial profit to be made ;).
Isn't making profit the aim of every game production?
[TakingThePiss]Will this play on my iPad/iPhone because these two devices are God like!![/TakingThePiss]
