That still a lot of money for a set of old games, even if that have upgraded graphics.

I'd say this package represents far better value for money than other full-priced 'updates' such as The Last Of Us on PS4.

I say that as a non-biased individual who doesn't own or care to own either an Xbox One or PS4.

Agreed, but possibly the best price so far.
I wish people didn't buy remakes so developers would actually concentrate on making new games.

I'm waiting for a Halo themed Special Edition Xbone before buying, Heat added as it's the best price so far.

Way overpriced. Also I don't think best price so far really applies to preorders. Everyone knows remastered games will be between £30-£35 on release. Also it's £42.56 at video game box with code fbfan5

Why doesn't it include Reach and Wars?

This is a great value package, at a much better price. It isn't just a HD upgrade, it has six worked maps! :)

I had £40 of amazon gift cards to use, so this is great for me!

I don't think this really impacts new game development, most likely done by a separate team.

Sadly it doesn't matter how many games you get as the price for a collection of remastered games or a single remastered game has always been the same/similar. Or this gen it's been less! Metro Redux (2 games) is currently cheaper than The Last of Us and cheaper than what Tomb Raider was on release.

Having never had the chance to play Halo 2 or Halo 4 I will certainly be buying this. Halo 2 is such a popular game that people were playing it until the servers closed down recently (and after, literally refusing to turn their consoles off to keep it going for as long as possible). I dont understand why some people feel the need to deny others something just because they have already experienced it.

Hang on you're saying a game is when remastered worth, will be £30 to £35

I'm saying if these were seperate then that would equate to 2x halo 1& 2 or 4x that h1/h2/h3/h4. So like for like as you can't really compare a bundle of games to an individual game.

You can maybe compare it maybe to Metro 2033 bundle @ 2x Metro's bundle selling price £27.36/£54.72 so at £44 ) seems more than decent for 4 titles (instead of 2 Metro ) 100s maps etc.live action */series

I get what you are saying but just be thankful they did not release them seperate at £30 each

I understand where you're coming from and that's understandable.

What I meant though was that regardless of whether a remastered game is a collection of 4 or 1 on it's own, it will most likely be the same price. So this Halo Collection, although it's 4 games will most likely be around £35 closer to release like other remastered games are. I really can't see this being £40+

Hopefully yes then it's an even better deal but I can see why they've set it higher with what they deem to be a higher value package which is why boxsets are dearer than single seasons discs to start with.

Good price for 4 amazing games but I'll hold out for a lower price as I already own all previous halo games on xbox original and 360. Although multiplayer sounds good on it.

Jeez, I can't believe anyone is complaining about the price of this. Even at twice the price it'd still be worth it IMO.

Pre-order most my wanted games on amazon initially, then if there are price drops it automatically reduces them! I just need to remember to check...

It will be an excellent deal, I mean don't get me wrong £11 per game is excellent value, especially for Halo. It's just that I think it's inevitable that it will drop further before release.

Am I right in thinking as I pre-ordered at a higher price it'll be amended by the billing date to £44?

So much stupid in this thread.

These are classics, UPDATED, and you're getting 4 of them, with multiplayer. If you ever played the original Halo 2 online, you'll appreciate how awesome this collection actually is.

Yep the amazon pre-order guarantee means you'll pay the lowest price it has been when it dispatches, not necessarily the price it is on dispatch either.

Not just that. Halo 2 anniversary. So a couple years back before H4 they released Halo CE Anniversary at full price. For 10-15 quid more you get Halo CE,3 & 4 aswell as a complete remake of H2 which is arguably the most wanted out of the halo community. And to the people that say they should focus on new games, they're making H5, and this comes with beta access in dec. For the casual gamer this might seem expensive for a bunch of remakes but sorry this is way more than just a bunch of remakes. Theres a whole competitive scene ready to blow once H2 anniversary releases. This is going to revive Halo for the next year

Gamings best deal, so much content!
#32
Heat added, good price :).
I've never played Halo 2 and was waiting for that to come out on the 360 as we enjoyed Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary but, will obviously be getting this instead, even if they do remake Halo 2 for the 360.
I don't mind playing the other Halo games again on the Xbox One. 4 games for £44 to me, is good value, especially when in reality I'd probably would have paid that just for Halo 2 if it had been remade separately.
#33
Worth it for Halo 2 multiplayer alone, you can't play halo 2 multiplayer over xbox live on the original xbox or xbox 360 anymore (I am aware there are other ways)

Pre-ordered!

•Halo CE Anniversary
•Halo 2: Anniversary
•Halo 3
•Halo 4
•A total of 45 campaign missions, Over 100 multiplayer maps
•Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta
•Halo: Nightfall (Digital Series)

Amazing value.

Man people need to quit whining about remastered games and do some maths.

at the price it works out at about £11 per game included in the set, and at the end of the day .. This is halo, anyone who enjoys it will pay this to play the game .. on a current console with better detailing and relieve all the old memory's playing it with friends etc.

don't like it don't vote .. simple

Any preorder bonuses?

Preordered this at Amazon a minute ago.. I have the option of cancelling the preorder and ordering at 365Games.co.uk as I have a £5 off code, so with first class delivery it would cost me £39.99. I think I should probably stick with Amazon though due to a possible preorder bonus and guaranteed Day One delivery? What do you guys think I should do? Thanks

Always go for the cheaper option as long as it's reliable which it is.
