Cashback too...

Halo: Reach, developed exclusively for Xbox 360 by acclaimed developer Bungie, is the blockbuster prequel to the best-selling Xbox franchise of all time. It represents the culmination of Bungie's 10 years of experience crafting groundbreaking Halo games that have raised expectations for what can be achieved in a video game.

In Halo: Reach, players experience the fateful moments that forged the Halo legend. It's the story of Noble Team, a squad of heroic Spartan soldiers, and their final stand on planet Reach, humanity's last line of defense between the terrifying Covenant and Earth. This darker story is echoed by grittier visuals amid a backdrop of massive, awe-inspiring environments. Characters, enemies and environments are rendered in amazing detail by an all-new engine designed to deliver epic-scale encounters against the cunning and ruthless Covenant.

Once the campaign is over, the battle continues online with an unparalleled multiplayer experience that expands on the award-winning suite of features that helped define the Xbox LIVE experience.

This got a mention in last nights Best Toys or something in the tv.

Got mine when it was this price a couple of weeks ago. My copy took 10 days to arrive so you may not get it until after the new year.
#5
You've done well agent, great find!

BTW, how good is this? I found Halo 3 okay and ODST dead boring. Maybe I just don't do space shooters!

Really? I've received many other items within just a couple of days and there was no weather issues when I ordered this so I would say it is Plays fault.

Really annoys me when people blame slow delivery on the retailers!! oO
They posted it when they say they posted it - they don't just send despatched emails out willy nilly on the off chance they will remember to chuck that product in the post some time soon.
Even early december is a hell of a lot busier due to christmas, and the bad weather started just a little before 5th december. Your slow delivery is down to Royal Mail. Nobody else, and certainly not play.com

very true. i'll admit at first i blamed play.com and game for their slow services, but then i realised it was royal mail who were to blame if any. i'm still waiting on orders from prepaymania, game and play.com, i was extremely annoyed at first but they can't help that the snow disrupts the service sometimes, and their health and safety is more of a priority, have some patience people :)

My copy from Play took about 4 days to arrive, even with the snow.
This is the third time this deal has been posted from play, and not seen it rise to normal price yet. Ordered this from the original post 2 weeks ago.

I work for Royal Mail and deal with the packets that come into our mail centre.
I can tell you now that we've had very little come through from Play this December unlike recent years when we've been inundated with Play items.
I myself have 2 orders that have not turned up yet.
A book which was desptached 15 days ago and a game that was despatched 13 days ago. However I have had a couple of things turn up that were sent after the 2 items I've mentioned.
I rang Play last week to ask why they were still using the bad weather as an excuse for delays when we were having no problems at all with packets coming in from Amazon, HMV etc.
The person I spoke to continued to blame the weather but told me that they had a special Christmas promotion on which enabled her to send out my missing items again and guarantee delivery within 3-5 days. I recieved an email confirming this.
5 days has passed and I've rang up again this morning and had to endure a 25 minute wait to speak to someone who told me my replacement items had not been despatched when I was told they would be and that they could send the game today but the book was now out of stock.
I understand that they're busier at this time of the year than any other, as are Royal Mail. I can also accept that bad weather comes into it, but to say the retailers take no blame in this is bulls***!!!
I think I'm right in saying that Play items are still sent from Jersey ?
As an experiment I sent an empty cd box to a friend in Jersey last week, 1st class in a jiffy bag, and asked him to send it back to me as soon as he recieved it, also 1st class.
It was back in my hands within 3 days of being sent, so how the hell can Play blame the weather ???

I am too annoyed with Play, i am still awaiting Red Dead Redemption which was supposedly sent out on the 8th December, i ordered halo reach the same day and have recieved that, but no signs of Red Dead. They are very slow at delivery, and i am not having the weather is a problem, because my postman comes everyday, the weather aint stopping him from doing his job! Im getting todislike play, as there delivery times are ridiculous! Thing is i cant report it as not recieved until 21 days has passed, which i think is obsurd! So looks like my hubby wont be getting his xmas present :o(

^ This. Don't be fooled by dispatch dates in your order history, they are sending items out much later than the date given.

Haha. To be honest me and a few of the lads at work were all moaning about items not turning up so I decided to do that just so I could see if the weather was the problem.

I also did the same. Ordered Red Dead Redemption & Halo Reach. Halo came within a week but still waiting for Red Dead Redemption.

Why did play.com not post them as one package? Could of had them both by now.

They do it with every order, i ordered 5 games, last month and all were sent out individually just in case the whole package gets lost im assuming, however 3 never turned up hahaha!

Im glad im not the only one who hasnt recieved red dead redemption, maybe there telling porky pies and they havent sent it out! I really need it for xmas! x

Last copy of Reach just arrived so I'm happy.

Play do seem to take a couple of days longer than everybody else, maybe it's because of them being Jersey based or maybe 'dispatched' just means it's been moved to the sack of stuff to be posted rather than just sitting in the warehouse.
#23
ordered this last time it was on offer from Play on 05/12/10 and still not here???? ordered items from Amazon, Blacks and Zavvi which arrived no problem!!!! Emailed play and they said it "was due to the weather and it may not arrive b4 Xmas"??? but will give me a refund if I send it back (if it arrives that is)

So if you need this for a Christmas prezzie I wouldn't bother:(

I've always wondered about Play... do they jiffy bag all their products before they put them in the stock for picking? It makes sense as it saves time, but doesn't make sense in terms of delivery costs (to me, at least!). Amazon are also based in Jersey and they even state on their site that it works out cheaper if they send it all in one box.

I do hear a lot of complaints about Play, but I've not really had problems with them as such.

As for the discussion on bad weather, the newspapers said the whole of the UK would be covered in snow over the weekend, and we haven't had one drop of snow Saturday or Sunday. Ordered something from eBay on Friday, and I was amazed to see it arrive today. I expected it to be delivered after Christmas with all the snow scares.

Gone of Play this Christmas, ordered a game on 30th November, then ordered Halo & 3 other titles on 6th December when they were on offer, all dispatched by 8th. Still missing my game from 30th but can't do anything until 21st December so not getting that for Christmas and still waiting for Halo Reach. 2 games missing from 5 ordered, not great odds. :(

Ordered this last week on Monday and it arrived today.

Halo finally arrived today, ordered 6th, dispatched 8th, arrived 21st. Better late than never I suppose, still waiting on Dead Rising 2 from 30th November though. :(
