Hello there

Was in my local ASDA looking for a cheap copy of Halo Reach and found this deal.

They are doing it with a hoodie for £32.47 IN TOTAL

this seemed like to good a deal to miss so grabbed myself a copy and thought I would share it with you guys

if you buy it without the hoodie its £37.47 although goodness knows why anyone would do this!

CLEAR photo of receipt on page 2 of comments

From what people are saying this may be a bit hit/miss depending on which ASDA you go to, seems to be alot of confusion about it now.

Not as good as the Tesco deal to be honest, I have much more use for 2100 points than a Halo hoodie I'd never wear.
#10
I went for it because of the price tag, with tesco your paying £44 odd in total for the points+Game

This is clearly a better deal. For a start, you only have to outlay a total of £32.97 here. You can get 2100 points for £14 in FS/FT if you have the patience to wait for the right seller to come along. You could get the game, hoodie and the MS points for £47 if you played your cards right, as opposed to Tesco's £46 for the game and points.

^ Agreed.

A points card is much easier to sell than some cheap ass Halo Hoodie if you want to reduce your outlay. Doesn't matter what the outlay is especially as a points card is actually very useful and you'd be hard pushed to get one cheaper than £16.71.

No matter how I look at it this is not that good. It's not bad but not good.
#19
i would vote if i could see the photo of the receipt. Which actually proves nothing imho in the current quality. the only number i can make out is you saved 19.
#20
I'd reccommend renting it first. Campaign is boring as hell, and the online is very unbalanced.
#21
i work on entertainment in asda , and officially you should of pre ordered with the £5 deal, to get the hoodie , as it does retail at £ 9.00, so you were lucky , we are not doing it in mine, that store has lost monet there , whoops
#22
I got the game yday awesome game only paid £28 ;) but seriously who is sad enough to wear a halo hoodie?!?!?

Between 'Multibuy Savings' and 'You Saved £19' it appears to say "Halo Offer"

Except in order for this to have happened the EPOS system will have been updated from Asda House and all ASDA stores will have got the offer sent to the tills but just wont' have known about it as such OR a epos clerk/stockwise or whatever they're calling them these days at the store in question manually added the offer to the system, in which case it will be traceable back to them and an **** kicking will probably ensue

Why sell the hoodie if the game is £32.97? It's cheaper overall than Tesco, and lots don't want to have to sell a points code on or don't have the use for it, or, can't afford it.

Try any mode where its elites v spartans, elite weaponry sucks compared to its spartan counterparts. The most basic of comparisons being, elites get that shoddy grunt pistol, where as spartans get the magnum, meaning that when your 1v1 and both of you go out of ammo on your primary, then whoever has the spartan wins.

On Invasian though, if you manage to unlock the 3rd tier, the energy sword loadout is pretty damn overpowered :P

How can you not have a use for points if you have an Xbox 360. There's tons of brilliant Arcade games you could buy, the worlds your oyster.

Okay well you pay that and have a hoodie and I'll use or sell my points that are actually useful and play my £28 copy of Halo Reach this evening.

Besides it looks like this so called deal isn't actually on so....
#34
now i can see all the evidence looks like the best deal available thus is hot from me.
#35
Supernovi, why are you so confrontational can I ask?

I mean does it matter? if someone wants the game without the points then surely £32 is better than £40? the hoodie becomes irrelevant.

IF you wants points tesco is great, if not its not to amazing.

halo same **** all the time

Damn it, was looking for a cheap highstreet deal and best I could find was £37.70 in Tesco's. Oh well, at least I've saved myself a drive and I'd prob never wear the hoody but a bargain's a bargain.

I don't really know what you mean. I'm just voicing my opinion and replying to things said directly to me or that I agree with.

I also never said this was a bad deal. A few months back I'd have said this was the best deal but there are quite a few decent Arcade titles now that I believe everyone should own. If you really don't want any Arcade titles or already own them then sell the card it's not going to be tough to shift for £16.

...sell the card it's not going to be tough to shift for £16.

Really?!
I've had about a dozen 2100 msp point cards in the last couple years and have never paid more than £15 for them - usually quite a bit less - and they're always from proper retailers rather than FS/FT. I'd be surprised to hear individuals are regularly trading them for upwards of £16.
Not saying you're wrong. I've not looked into it. Just saying I'm surprised that some people would be that naive as to pay that much on FS/FT listings or auctions...

Anyways, I agree with the majority - this is a very good deal. Personally I'd rather go for this than the Tesco offer as I have over 2k points on my account.
Shame that at present it looks to be a one-off rather than a nationwide deal.

Can't comment on that as I haven't played it. All the other gametypes are balanced.
