  Well that is annoying, I've been keeping my eye out for a good price on this for a while, but finally gave in & brought Reach on Ebay using the £5 off voucher on Thursday.

  Just be aware that if you want to play Anniversary in coop over Xbox Live, it's almost impossible. The lag is unbearable.

  There are a few options with live. AFAIK you get a month or so free anyway (or at least you used to!), but whatever you do DO NOT set up auto subscription with Microsoft, its rarely good value for money. I always get mine from Ebay, I paid £26 in August for a 12+2month card which was emailled to me within 10mins. Just look for the sellers that have been around awhile and have loads of positive feedback, if you want the one I bought from just pm me ;)

  ... oh, and if you take the 1month free and your son can cope without live for a day or so, when it expires they usually try to tempt you back with an offer of £1 per month (usually for one or two months only), just remember to go into the settings and turn off the auto renew!!! :D
